Don't just state things for the sake of it and never accuse anyone unless you have proof. Libel action could cost you all your pocket money for a long time.

Easton was offered a new contract at Swindon.

Yet he chose to come here for 1st team football and due to the manager, not desperation...

I wouldn't treat it with such disdain... mcnasty's raised a very good point. You can't accuse Sturrock of lying to players in order to get them to sign and imply other dubious actions without evidence.

1st post guys!! Don't shoot me down to badly!!

But why don't we scrap the protest as its not looking like the numbers are going the be anything serious especially as its just a friendly.

Instead we could support the team inside the ground and on the road this season and try and get the Roots Hall Roar going!!

What we could do though to show the board that we don't support them is if we all wore a different colour instead of blue. We've seen the statement its shown the board at Man Utd. I can't see why a stadium full of people wearing red shirts for example could send out a similar message to the board, without it effecting the boys on the pitch.

no offence but just because the management has changed it means nothing when it comes to finance. we've got ron in charhe wrecking everything and anything. what will it take for some to realise what a con artist this bloke is. nearly every single player couldn't bare to be near him so left. get it into your heads the only things he care's about is his wallet and the stadium. nothing else.

Will it? Can you explain how and why? Who is going to replace him? Do you see him just upping sticks and walking (then calling in the back rent he has never collected), or do you see him putting the club up for sale?

Genuinely interested in how you explain this?...

Course they wouldnt and why should they, he has hardly won many friends not paying anyone.

If the money just isnt there though, what can he do? I believe that if he HAD paid the players all what they were owed, then we probably wouldnt have a club today.

It may just turn out to be a master stroke (bear with me, this needs the rosiest of rosey glasses) - by not paying the big earners in particular, it has allowed us to stay alive (just) and now they have had enough and walked, then he doesnt have to pay them anything any more.

I believe their wages came from a PFA loan (?), so they got taken care of in the end and Ron can now pay that loan back when he can - hopefully in the next few weeks to get the embargo lifted.

So by doing this - yes its was ****ing horrible and not the way to treat people - but desperate times and all that... it may just have saved SUFC to fight another day.

As people point out we have a new manager, Tilly is gone !! Players have gone, leaving us periously close to having no players to start the season off .

What we do have is :-

A new manager that as of yet, unless I am mistaken, yet to sign a contract.

Players on pre contract agreements, waiting to be signed !!

IF this protest does go ahead, we may well scare off the manager and these players leaving us f**ked !!

Nice one , that will show Ron ....... Ever heard of the old saying, "nose.....spite.......face etc" !!

We support Southend, I kinda think Ron knows how certain people feel about the past 12 months, so why feel the need to ram this down the throats of the people we are trying to pursade to move/stay here !!

This is no "licking Rons arse" as someone put earlier, this is trying to get across to peple that we need to promote the Club and support the new guard of players and managers alike !

Sometimes I feel people want to be right about Ron and the 'killing of our club' regardless of the fact that if these people are "right" there may not be a Southend to support any more !! Well done you !!

If Ron goes, he will go of his own accord, when the deal and time is right for him, not if 200 people stay in a car after a game and "demand" he sacks himself !!

Again to reiterate, Tilly is gone , we have a new person to get behind and the sooner people realise this, the better !!
