****s sake!!! How many more times. the money isn't going in to RM pockets. Jesus, I give up i really do. The club need every penny they can lay their hands on right now. hence why i paid my 12 quid and enjoyed watching a very entertaining game.
Has he stopped paying Martin Dawn management charges then? Thanks for letting us know

We obviously couldn't see it, just hear it, and that is what it sounded like. I really think it's time to drop this, you're marking your card as a troublemaker.

Well firstly i am not a troublemaker, i love Southend and for as long as i live i will support them, whatever league were in i'll still be there and to be honest when Ron comes out and admits what hes done i'll drop it and i also saw you tonight come out i was standing next to Trueblue

It might be a starting point that everybody agrees on what he's alleged to have done...

Hello mate.

I am just angry he promises things that are never done. And if you want examples of them i can give them to you but i am sure you know what i mean. Also angry Sainsbury have to pay OUR debt

But you seem to not understand that if they don't you and I would not have a Southend United to support. It's that simple. And don't bring up the old consortium argument. it's been done to death now

I dont believe in the consortium one bit. I just think we need admin to sort our finances out. PATTERSON cant afford to pay rent he aint payed it in 2 and a half months

I,ll be the first to say ron has taken the **** big time especially his treatment of some of the players, but the fact is he got carried away when we were enjoying success on the pitch which ultimately led us to where we are today, the minute he said yeah 22,000 should do it for the stadium I thought hang on mate. He has so far managed to avoid administration, being wound up all be it while pi55ing off the taxman among others and the sacking of tilly recently produced a very very emotional response from many a supporter(me included) but with a little time and some actual football activity to focus on I think a lot of the tilly shock has subsided and seeing a whole new team/squad develop in quickfire time is facinating. IF sainsburys do back us this year and ron actually starts building FF then will all this krap with the finances and the besmirching of the good SUFC name be seen as a hardship that had to be endured. Yes I know ron is only in it for the moola but he has and appears to be doing a lot to ensure sufc carries on. The protesters stated that the objective of the protests was to ensure southend had a viable football leagu club, as far as I can see SUFC are still going(just) maybe just maybe the slippery little ronster is going to pull it all off, maybe we are still headed for the S***ter, who knows for sure?, all I know is that there is no real alternative to ron, the consortium have come out and stated they will only take the club on if we go into admin and they too want to make the money on FF. I admire those that protested tonight but will it make a difference? ron already knew how angry some supporters were he has security outside his house, will 50 people in the car park shouting stuff convince ron to jack it in? I would love a new chairman at the helm but I still believe SUFC and ron are stuck with each other till the conclusion of this saga (good or bad)

Scott, I've heard this from several sources now - and I mean "horse's mouth" sources. Many of them have only been paid once in the last four months, which is why I bear absolutely no grudges about any of those who have moved on.

I thought the PFA had paid the players?? Or are they late paying them as well?? Thats surely why we're under the embargo, because we owe the PFA the money that they have paid for our players wages?

Thought you were going Jack, maybe you should - that doesn't make a huge amount of sense to me!!!

I'd just like to say well done to those who attended the protest, peacefully and without hindrance to anyone wishing to just enjoy the football this evening. People of all ages stood together, from children through to one fella I was chatting to who had been going to Roots Hall since 1962 but just felt he had to do something, however small the action may seem to be.

The only troublesome part of the proceedings was a car going by with the passengers bravely shouting abuse at us, something which the police in attendance duly noted. As OBL suspected, the comment of '125 people 'aving it outside' was about as far removed from what we were doing it can get.

There are people that care, who feel what the people who have run the club have been in the wrong, without recourse to unruly mob tactics that some intimated would probably happen. People protested peacefully, people watched the game peacefully, and Southend got a soft penalty and a deserved draw. Not a bad evening for all concerned, really.
