Neither is lying. Both are vague terms that can legitimately be interpreted in different ways.

Isn't the fact that Ashcroft didn't get a job proof that donations don't buy government jobs?

Right, so let's get back to laughing at absurdity of this story.

He was of course offered a job as a Junior "whip" in the FO.But thought that "beneath" him.

Agree.Snigger,snigger.:smiles:

Interesting this "news" story broke at the same time that someone leaked a story about Osborne cutting free school meals.

That is such a **** move by the Conservatives. I really liked this policy - and not just because I've got two young children. One of those rare policies - and hats off to Clegg for pushing for it - that is all about the long-term rather than short-term benefits. A kid from the wrong side of the tracks, getting proper lunches five times a week now, might just stand a better chance of growing up to be healthy and active and less of a drain on the NHS way down the line.

Yes, I agree....and also encourage children that there is more to life food wise than chicken nuggets and chips. The only thing wrong with them is the fact that food is often quite bland because of the lack of seasoning, a dash of salt into bolognaise or mash is hardly going to kill them after all!

Except adding salt to children's food is not recommended, and rightly so. Getting children used to salty/seasoned food isn't a good thing. There are other more healthy ways of adding flavour to bland food.

really enjoying this pig thing. And Dave is seeing the leader of Denmark at present you just could not make it up. For me it makes him more real. Not only was he geting a first class honours degree at Oxford and wining all the prizes he had enough time to do all those crazy studenty things we'd all like to forget. I hasten to add poking a pig wasn't one of mine. But hey let's remember the pig WAS dead.

The case for the defence rests m'lud.

More divisive actions by the Nasty Tory Boys ; when are they going to realise that to appeal to the whole UK they need to encompass affection for others not just their own types of swine.
Don't sheep and Nessie type reptiles figure in their amorous japes?

TB,F he only put his old chap in the dead pig's mouth, apparently.Nothing more sordid than that.

Oink,oink.

(Some animals are more equal than others, after all).:smiles:

I hadn't read that bit anywhere?

You won't either, the author has said she got this information on Cameron from ,and I quote ' A reliable and respected Conservative MP who was at school with him' She won't name him, she can't substantiate the claim and hasn't any other evidence other than hearsay from some mystery person who hasn't the balls to go on public record with this revelation.

Oh, and one other thing, Cameron never even joined this club in the first place.

Carry on.
