So I suspect that the options for Player of the Year have changed a little.

Wordsworth has been out of form for a few games.
Fortune dropped to the bench.
Thompson on the bench but might be back on Saturday.

Cox still doing well - goals as well as general play.
Leonard is F.A.B.
Anton continues to be ........ well, Anton

and is Ranger coming up on the outside rail with a late finish I wonder?

It'd be a travesty if Ranger got it. He need a season without any brushes with the law or the FA.

Hopefully our season won't end until late May. So plenty of time for someone to win, or lose, player of the year.

For me it would of been McLaughlin, he was our only good player at the start of the season, but his injury pushes him just out the top 3. With a strong finish I would still consider voting for him.

My top 3 in any order would be, Thompson, Leonard, Cox (with a special mention to MAF)

1 Ryan Leonard
2 Lenny
3 Ryan Leonard

Seriously how good has he become. An outstanding holding midfielder coupled with his outstanding athleticism that allows him to drive into enemy territory from deep positions. Has developed so well since brown deployed him in the central role.

Spooky ! was just about to post
1. Lenny
2. Leonardo
3. Leonard

Out of interest , and helping to shape my opinion, do we have an actual record easy to find of MOMs?? awarded to date. Is there a table somewhere

Lenny 43 appearances, and captaining, Cox 42, Thommo 37, Dimi 36 , Atko 33, Woody 33, Ferdy just 29

I was about to dip in with the Leonard Leonard Leonard post! It has to be him.

From the rest, Cox and Ferdy for me. Thompson being there or there abouts is testament to his improvement. I would have had prosser in before him last season.

Dont get splinters in your ar*e sitting on the fence, just say what you think :winking:

Leonard all the way, how can it even be a debate. How the hell he is still playing with us and not a top rate championship club I don't know, fingers crossed he signs a new contract!!

considering i wanted to get rid of lenny. Didnt really impress under luggy (orient away was good though) just did not see it. We then rocked up to wakering pre season and raised eyebrows at lenny in CM. The rest is history. So glad to be proven wrong.

1. Tommo - Has been our most consistent player throughout the season. Always rated at 7-8 IMHO. Vocal, future captain.
2. Lenny - Lots of energy, has been terrific defensively this season, lacked the consistent high performances of Tommo
3. Anton - A great debut season; steady and reliable but ranked 3rd due to injuries reducing his number of appearances

So with 3 games yet to play ...........

Lenny might be back on Monday to strengthen his bid for player of the year,
Ranger has been marvellous,
Anton - so steady and reliable except for the injury niggles
Thommo - continues to be a key part of the team
Wordy - back from a poor spell and back scoring
Fortune - comes back onto the pitch ........... and scores. Fabtastic

and

Cox - 15 goals so far and still going strong.

Eeee - it's going to be a tricky contest this year.
