Interesting next set of three fixtures for Oldham:

Solihull (9th) away
Altrincham (8th) home
Sutton (10th) home

If AND A BIG IF (hence the caps), we can keep winning, we must make points up on one or some of those above us.

It must be their most embarrassing result ever. I bet their fans are calling for the manager’s head.
Well didn't we manage to lose at Fylde ? Fylde also had chances to embarrass us at Roots Hall. They have a good manager in Kevin Phillips. They will no pushover for the rest of the season.

I was reading that Halifax may well have a problem, their Council who own The Shay want to sell it.

A vital three matches coming up which we really have to win to keep our oh so slender play off chance alive. So here are my predictions for the next three games:

Current position

Pl Pts

6. Halifax 28 45

7. Rochdale 25 42

8. Altrincham 27 42

9. Solihull Moors 29 42

10.Sutton Utd 28 41

11.Southend 28 39

Saturday’s games

Tamworth v Halifax DRAW

Rochdale v Ebbsfleet HOME WIN

Alty v Braintree DRAW

Solihull v Oldham AWAY WIN

Sutton v Hartlepool HOME WIN

Maidenhead v Southend AWAY WIN

Tuesday 11th games

Oldham v Altrincham HOME WIN

Southend v Halifax HOME WIN

Saturday 15th games

Halifax v Boston HOME WIN

Southend v Rochdale HOME WIN

Gateshead v Altrincham HOME WIN

Barnet v Solihull HOME WIN

Oldham v Sutton HOME WIN

Southend v Rochdale HOME WIN

The upshot of these games is:

Pl Pts

6. Halifax 31 49

7. Southend 31 48

8. Altrincham 30 46

9. Rochdale 27 45

10.Sutton Utd 30 44

11.Solihull 31 42

So suddenly we are in the play off position but with three teams below us with games in hand.

None of these predictions seem unreasonable........... except our three predicted wins of course.

That synopsis seems reasonable.
Not sure about us winning two home games on the trot though.

That's what I like - blind optimism. Otherwise, why go? POFF's here we come

I think your optimistic we'd have enough in the tank to play Rochdale twice and win both on Sarurday the 15th

I'll never get the naysayers wanting to naysay. There's absolutely a chance we can make the play offs, the next three games are massive. IF we get three good results then we are bang in the mix. It's exciting, it could happen, let's get up for these games in the stands (as we have especially well for the last couple of seasons) it will make such a difference.
Lets have a go, misery and doubt will get you nowhere.

Yes, the next 2 or 3 fixtures of our rivals fall kindly for us. They mainly face tough games - but so do we - although playing Halifax and Rochdale gives us a golden opportunity. Fingers, toes and any other flexible parts of our anatomies crossed.... 🤞

I get what your saying. But you must of heard of the saying "it's the hope that kills you". We all hope we make the play offs but it's a lot less hurtful if you try to believe it's not possible.

seems people forget this is also a must win for Maidenhead, We just lost to one Kent team could this be a double whammy.,

What about the teams we've beaten in our division? Just ignoring them?
Odd to pick one game to base entire season on.
Could base it on our home form which is woeful .Could also add that unless our supposed strikers suddenly find some form and realise just where the back of the onion bag is and its not in the stands ,our home form will continue as it is woeful .

We absolutely can make the playoffs. I'm blown away by the poll results for this thead and can only assume that people have misunderstood the question.

Will we? Not sure, we have a reasonable chance. Improving home for will be key, if we can do that while maintaining 2ppg we will have a fair shout. Lots of teams in the race however. Tamworth in 15th are 5 points off Rochdale in 7th.

Got 18 games left, not 6. 54 points avaliable.

If the extremely unlikely were to happen and we won every single game we'd be sitting pretty on 93 points.

Clearly that's not going to happen but I'd like to think we could get around 60% of the available points on offer. Should put us right in the mix come the middle of April
