We've won back to back matches twice this season. We have to be more consistent and put at least 3 wins together in a row
Do we though? Draw, win, win, for the rest of the season gives us another 21 points. That should get us into the play-offs.

Last night’s results further illustrated that we are competing with very moderate sides just to get into the playoffs. With the players we have available,it really shouldn’t be a problem….. but I wouldn’t put it past Maher to put Bonne on the bench again,as he kept doing earlier.

We are the draw specialists though. Certainly improved , but draw at Eastleigh and some might say its decent away point, and in some ways it is given the journey we have been on , but that would be 5 draws in the last 6 games , or potentially 10 points lost

May be undefeated but 5 draws and a win = 8 points
3 wins and 3 losses= 9 points

In the league we have yet to win 3 games on the trot

Barnet for example have won 11 of their past 12 games scoring 29 and conceding 2 I think thats fairly consistent promotion form?

if we get 4 points from the next two games then it will set up a both interesting, and more than doable finish for the play offs.

I think our lack of goals/conservative play may keep us just below the top 7 but it is there for the taking, especially with the teams above us in relegation form.

It will also take Maher to go for it in terms of attacking play, because we are so much better on the front foot with a more creative midfield.

Braintree with another decent result they are doing well with current and ex Col U players with Chay Cooper, John Akinde and our loan signing to them Kyreece Lisbie all scoring last night, he appears to be enjoying playing with his twin brother Kyrell.

But @Barry.C, as much as it pains me to say it as a shrimper, we can't compare ourselves with Barnet - they're a better side. Yes, their attendances are half ours at best. FFS, they were effectively our feeder side under your namesake, Barry Iscariot, etc. But clearly, they've been better run than us for years and have a bigger budget. The other sides in the league, on the other hand, are a different matter...

Pfft, @Colchester and proud! Colchester, Braintree, Clacton... it's all the same place, isn't it?

I'm actually less concerned about our lack of goals at the moment, we've improved in that area and Bonne looks a real asset on current form, my concern is the number of goals were conceding. I prefer Hayes in goal but I don't think he has a single clean sheet so far? Someone may prove me wrong on that but our defensive issues seem to be the bigger problem. I'm enjoying the current football more than a month or so ago though.

I get your point, but if GSM has an off day then we only have a few goals between all of our strikers and that is concerning.

Bonne has definitely come on though, and could be the difference over these last 9 games.

You're not wrong, without his goals we'd be nowhere near the playoffs, fingers crossed for a strong finish all round.
