I don't think anyone is claiming to be an expert, just adding to the discussion. Thanks for your valuable input.

Its like saying "mcdonalds burgers are 99p - in the ground they're three quid"

True but adds nothing to the fact that nobody will change how much this plane will cost.

Also, if people know so much charter the flight, charge £50 and ride off into the sunset with the (obvious) profit.

Don't think anyone has said you can charge £50 and make a profit, have you not read what's actually being said? Just another one on here with nothing constructive to say who likes to pick holes in other peoples comments.

i would say posting "OH MY GOD THEY'RE CHARGING TOO MUCH" with no knowledge of what has been agreed with the carrier / costs towards getting club staff (playing/non playing) there isn't constructive.

This is three pages of people moaning about something because we haven't lost. last week it was the technicalities of World War II this week it's aviation costs.

Love this place. it's like a proving site for those who want to post in the Evening Echo comments section.

I used to work for a charter airline. Some of the comments on here... bloody hell. Firstly, just for a touch of education, the cheap flights that Ryanair and Easyjet advertise DON'T APPLY TO THE WHOLE PLANE! There is only a few seats at that price.

Secondly, check out flights from London- Manchester on Saturday with BA from Heathrow. FROM £299 return.

Thirdly, the price SUFC charge will be including coach transport to and from the airport (which will be no doubt Manchester or Leeds/Bradford because Blackpool is closed) plus probably the match ticket too and maybe a meal.

I doubt the club are making a bean.

I think Blackpool Aiport has reopened.

So do I.

There's also Liverpool Airport, I guess.

As FBM says, the pricing of £250-£300 could well be right. I guess it depends if the club, as someone said earlier, are flying the team, directors and so on, on the same flight, then the remaining seats might be a little more than normal.

FBM is also right that it probably would include coach transfers and might also include match ticket, pre-match meal and so on.

If you can't afford it, why don't you book the coach/train/car? Little bit sad moaning about something you can't afford on an internet forum because the flight costs has priced YOU out.

I can afford it very easily but it makes much more sense for me to go by coach.

Ron has negotiated a discount. The downside is the flight will take 7 hours due to en route crop spraying
