Phil Brown

Funny old game isn’t it. Thought that was a bizarre appointment but in fairness he‘s taken 7 points from 9 including a 4-0 win against FGR. If he doesn’t get the job permanently he’ll be disappointed and rightly so.
As others have said, with luck he might take a couple of our players.

Remember he signed Arnold! That wouldn’t be very good would it.

If he does get his contract extended hopefully he's learnt his lesson and focuses more on finding players like Dalby and less on signing "names" that are past it.

Same with Dalby!
And Bridge, 3 of the best players who are actually our players.
So, would you sign for Barrow with average 2/3k crowds and a manager past his prime, or would you want to stay with a team on the up with a coaching team and set up equal to, or better than a lot of FL2 clubs, average crowds of 5/6k and the option to live beside the seaside. Tough old choices.

League Two > National League

Plus it all depends on the players personal situations.

I’m a Southend United fan so it’s pretty stupid me answering that question.

I would say if the wages are similar and the players concerned are based nearer us than Barrow, I think they would stay here. There’s so little in it between the NL and L2. These are players who know they’re not going to get a gig higher than L2 so it really comes down to money, length of contract, and where they are settled.
