What makes you think that?

If he stays we now know for certain that he is going to be playing the long ball for all home games. He made that clear in his interview the other day. He stated the change off style at home was a mistake and one I will not make again. So you can look forward to defenders hoofing it at every opportunity next season, if he stays. Prosser must be delighted,
I just think we would struggle to get in anyone better and i think overall he has done a good job for us over last 3 seasons.I admit that the home form has been poor this year but with all the injuries we have has has made it very hard for him.

Sometimes I think our fans should support Manure & be glory hunters there.

Sturrock has worked wonders at our club, & as much as I liked Tilly, he would have got us relegated to the Conference if he had stayed. Sturrocks contacts have got us the players we have on loan. Tilly didn't have the contacts that Sturrock does & with RM screwing up the finances, he wouldn't have coped!

hahahahhahahahahah - Tilson didn't have the contacts ?????? Theres me watching Hal robson Kanu, Mullgrew, Federici in a SUFC shirt ...... was I dreaming ....

true Sturock knew his way down to the job centre to pick up a load of out of work league 2 players including Blair -

its not like Edgar Davids would have taken the job ???? or many like him ....

Why do we bother to have polls on this site if people wilfully ignore the results. You're in the minority.

Indeed.
Nonsense comment. Its because people are passionate about our club and not a big club that they care. If we dont aspire to win games and get promoted whats the point ?
In the first two seasons he did, being 8th in the league and getting 1 point out of 3 home games isnt doing wonders.
Again nonsense. Tilson got us relegated at a time when the money situation was far far worse than Sturrock has had to deal with. I do think at the end of that season he could have kept us up but to say we would have been relegated again is over the top.
Agreed, Sturrock has much better contacts and certainly got players Tilson did, yet still failed to get us in the play-offs so has has still failed. Saying he did better than Tilson might of is hardly a good defence.

And saying someone's opinion is "nonsense" is not on, just because you disagree with the point! I happen to think TBS makes valid points. Some of our newer support might well be on the back of Tilson's glory days - are these the same supporters that seem to have so little patience where Sturrock is concerned?

Tilson had some good contacts, some of which were on the back of people employed in other capacities within the club - hence we got youngsters from Arsenal, Chelsea etc. He also made huge faux pas. Sturrock's contacts to my mind, have been a lot more impressive - the clubs may not be such an "elite", but the quality of the majority of the players have been generally better.

I do wish we would stop comparing them and just accept that Tilson's had his time, and now it's Sturrock's. I'd be delighted if he stays on for another season as that would mean some of our out of contract players this year might be persuaded to stay too.

Your right RE Davids doing a good job at barnet, the fact he still plays is a big help he is still a class apart on the pitch.I would just like to see Sturrock given another season.

To be honest that's all i've seen since Sturrock has been here. I don't believe he knows how to get a side to play passing football.

Not enjoyed watching us for a long while now. Was ok putting up with it when doing well in the division in the hope he might change the style when we go up. Now that's very unlikely i don't wish to watch a style of football i could play on a Sunday league.

The whole point of me wanting to watch professional football is i want to see footballers who can play (or at least attempt to) a better quality than down the park that i could admire.

For me there is no skill more than the average park footballer than without aim blasting the ball out from the back when given time.

big squad, AND players getting paid, he has it easy compared with Tilson in his last season-
Edited for accuracy.

To be honest I'm bored of both sides of this debate now. He's still in charge so let's get behind him and the team until he is dismissed or leaves.

Its easier to get players like that when playing in the CCC or Div 1 & not whilst playing for a Div 2 team that doesn't pay its players!!

Exactly! Not the booing rubbish we get at home games. Are we supporters? If so, support! The buck stops with the chairman. End of!

Shame if true. Should have been allowed to lead the team out to Wembley at the very least. Hope his name is sung in memory of his achievement.
