I thought he said he was considering his position in the Summer , not that he was leaving.

That is what irks me most. You know he will do well elsewhere. If he had been given more time here he would have got us promotes, I have no doubt. I am truly gutted some other team will have him as their manager, truly truly gutted

Big fan of Sturrock, and sorry to see him go, but to be fair we'd have been saying "Probably next season" last season. Not sure hoe PB will do, but he'll have my full support until he proves that he deserves otherwise. As for PS, I'll on the one hand hate seeing him elsewhere, but on the other hand be glad that he's not lost to the sport. Football needs more characters with Sturrock's attitude.

Totally agree. I still believe that injuries mixed with off the field problems (embargos, late paying of wages, Ron Martin etc) have absolutely crippled us this season. I am so gutted that Sturrock has gone.

As someone put it quite nicely on here the other day, feels like we've lost a gentleman and gained a used car salesman.

Just wondered - without wanting to be divisive - whether anyone's heard if Luggy will be joining in, win or lose, with 'his' team on the pitch afterwards.

Would seem like a nice touch to my mind.

Or maybe he has already said no thanks ( perhaps 'cos he might not be able to stand by then - with emotion of course!)

I do not think that this is PS's style at all. He will keep a low profile on the day and even if asked to come onto the pitch would probably decline I feel. As he said, he is a profesional man and will not wish to take the onus off of the team and Phil Brown.

We get two 'spare' medals to go to non playing staff , I 'assume ' Coughlan gets one --- so in theory its possible as he is still an employee

20.2 There shall be twenty-one medals to the winning Club in the Final and twenty-one medals to the losing Club in the Final Tie, to be allocated as follows: -20.2.1 sixteen for the Players nominated on the team sheet;
20.2.2 one each for the Secretary, Manager and Physiotherapist; and
20.2.3 two for staff other than Players.
20.3 Souvenirs will also be provided for the match officials appointed to the Final Tie.
20.4 Additional medals may only be presented by consent of the Secretary of the Competition but at the cost of the requesting Club.
