Sturrock conducted himself really well yesterday ( as always ) and even when a few were trying to get him to 'dis' Uncle Ron , he just smiled and said nothing.
He was even willing to show what was under his kilt when pushed.
Thankfully , tradition was abandoned for the day , so nobody was too embarassed....................

Saw Tara Brady in the bar in the Club Wembley section.

Also had a very brief chat with Adam Barratt and congratulated him on his promotion with Gillingham

True Gentleman happy to speak to anyone when approached and to have photos with them, although deep down he was probably gutted by how things have turned out he had a smile on his face and just went with the flow.

A true gent indeed. He never refused a handshake or photo request all day. On the coach going up he agreed to speak on the mike for about half an hour, told some great tales of his playing and managerial times followed by any questions from his fellow travellers. Made our journey all the more enjoyable.

Thank you Paul.

Decent bloke but ultimatley he failed to get us into the play offs and only two clubs have won less home games than us in the whole division.

This said, I will always remember him fondly after stabilising us in his first season, and having us in contention for the play off spots in the following two seasons oh and of course a great day out at Wembley which I am sure we will all remember more fondly in time

I think that says more about the fans than the manager.

Or the professional players on the pitch? If you cant handle pockets of booing from a small section of fans when playing poorly then maybe Pro footy isn't for them.. I am not one to boo or slag off any players during the game

It's not just booing though is it? It's audible cries of "get him off!", "F%$k off xxxx you're ****!", audible negative reactions at the slightest hint of the first bad pass and generally not singing until we're 1-0 up and looking comfortable.

Spoken with Paul several times in his time with us including social occasions and he has never been anything other than humble, engaging and a true gentleman.

Thank you Paul :thanks:

One of the decent blokes in the game. Shame they are few and far between these days. Our loss i think!

Spot on mate. A true gentleman who must have shaken hundreds of hands and posed for hundreds of pictures and didn't refuse a single one.

Seemed to have time for everyone who wanted to shake his hand, and to be honest he looked like he wouldnt have missed that day out for the world.

At last!

Our home support is the worst I've ever seen as is why our home form is normally poo.

Don't think that is fair. The North Bank makes more noise than most at this level. At the end of the day if your playing poorly on a consistent basis you cannot blame the crowd for being annoyed. We are meant to come to football for entertainment not because we have to blindly take some of the tripe we have seen this season.
