GBJ, you also puzzle me. I don't understand your contempt for RM.

He's negatives FAR outweigh the positives. I'm not sure what I can say on this public forum without reprisals from within the club, as some "thoughts" could be libellous

If you sat down and had a chat with him about SUFC you would see him in totally new light i'm sure.

I highly highly doubt it.
I hope one day you can do that. He has decided to move on from PS and that was not easy at this stage of the season.
He is a very loyal man as he proved with Tilly. But he will make a bold decision based on the good of the club.
I was fully against the Tilly decision, but can see the benefits in this one

I've sat down with him, listened and believed his ********, No more. Ive had business dealings with him, No more. The man only cares about himself!!! #MartinOut

Keep reading that Sturrock should be sacked after Wembley, but how often does a new manager come in and change a teams fortunes? I'm not saying the new manager will do this but if he can, there's 6 points to play for before Wembley, and we're 6 points off of the play offs.

The decision should have been either a) keep Sturrock or b) sack him and have a new manager in charge for Wembley.

you big meanie :winking:

Luggy had the opportunity to leave the club a few weeks ago but opted to stay because Wembley meant so much to him - per Chris Phillips

True, he was offered a three contract at a high placed non league team with lots of money to spend but turned it down because he wanted to take a team out at Wembley.

just got in from having lunch ..put on talksport didnt know a thing about Luggy ... Right decision given league form but the timing is poor ..sounds on the radio from CP that players paid late during this season embargos .. I am not PS biggest fan but thanks for the effort you put in especially with your health problems ..Whoever is given the job tomorrow good luck mate !!

I feel absolutely gutted for Sturrock to be honest and when you talk to the players you get the high regard they hold him in. The timing of this is atrocious to be honest.

Some of them should have shown this on the pitch, perhaps then Luggy would still have his job!

Phil Brown, given his track record, please **** off as I don't think his style of football will suit us. We should be looking at young up coming manager not a guy who failed at his 3 from 4 club in charge.

Agree. His record is **** looking at it on Wiki.

Would prefer to see an up and coming manager myself. Brown is well known for touchline hystrionics, has a massive ego and has not managed at this level. Will he be willing to look for non league diamonds like Hall and Clohessy or fill the squad with expensive flops from the divisions above. He will be under pressure right from the start, he wont have the grace period that Luggy was afforded when he took the job with zero players. If we aren't top 6 by Xmas he will be gone.

I am really disappointed by this news. Yes, the team should have got more out of the last few games, but I don't think now was the time to punish him. But as usual, things have been going on behind the scenes that we don't yet know about, which has led to this sad day.
Thanks for all you have achieved for us Luggy, and I for one will be yelling my thanks and support for you as you bring the team out at Wembley.
Oh, and Ron......you're a bigger **** than I thought possible.
