We have been asking for years now to get the North Bank back.
The place was ruined when that south bank lego land went up. Give that to away support.
I dont buy this its not safe to switch back. The away end was up the South stand for years and years when there was a lot of violence at football. Why was it ok then and not now. It was not in the poll but I would pay extra to get the North Bank back and last night shows how good it is in there.
But they will not do it and that really gets me angry. :'(

Scott, I was in the South Upper and the noise from the North bank was amazing. When Belford saved the penalty, the shift towards the Crawley fans was like a wave.

It needs to be a regular thing.

I totally agree, I was surprised by how many fans were over there and the noise was outstanding. I was so jealous not to be over there. I was there a couple of seasons ago but the games were terrible and we were going down so it wasn't great.

Has to happen again!!!

Ill tell you you now, what a great atmosphere the north bank generates. east, west and south can all see and hear the noise if thats makes sense.A must for the rest rest of the season

This NEEDS to happen now...after years of talking and the occasional shift across to the North Bank for a 'special' game. The improvement in the atmosphere at Roots Hall last night cannot be underestimated. Also, what with all the fuss recently about our home crowd being very quiet (manager himself) give us the north bank back and we'll show you what we can do with the right acoustics. Shove the 80 odd away fans in the South Lower and let us enjoy the last few seasons at Roots Hall.......er...please.

I'm sure most big clubs have different 'tiers' of games: 'A' for big games/derbys, 'B' for smaller league games etc. etc.
Could we not do something similar, and games where a smaller away following is expected we could have a bigger section of the North Bank?

Maybe a bit of a long shot but anyone able to show a clip of the good old days of the North Bank?

If only I could post my memories.

Todays echo has a big piece headlined something along the lines of "Flare could have killed my Son"

Typical newspaper, do gooder, hyperbolic, nonsense.

I bloody hate the media. Could have killed my son? Jesus.

I could have died when I crossed the road this morning.

On a more sensitive note, I suppose it could have been a bit dangerous.

North Bank OPEN v Accrington

Just spoke with Jobbo again this morning to quote "your 99.9% ok for the North Bank on Saturday"

GET IN!!!!!

It was not a ****ing FLARE!!!!!!!!! it was a blue smoke bomb!!!!!

The GRENADE could have killed my son and blown him to millions of pieces.

I don't actually know what the operations are in a Blue Smoke bomb, is any heat generated or what?

Do gooder. Hyperbolic. **** paper. Nonsense!

I know the boy in question and the family - I am dissapointed that they have felt the need to blow it out of all proportion and risk us getting the North Bank back - the lad in question is a good supporter and was only a bit shocked/overwhelmed from what I could see and was told.

Unfortunately the Bradford fire is too a recent memory. I suggest if the support want the North Bank long term, smoke bombs have to go or H&S will have a field day.
