I may well come over to the North Bank as I reckon I could get away with having a fag or two during the game, what with no one minding a bit of smoke

We sit in the East blacks and you sounded awesome Monday, only heard Creepy a couple of times, well done.

Ive never understood why they havent let you use all the time, keep it up

We know when we go away the difference when you share the stand with the home supporters, good work Scott x

I haven't read the article yet but sounds very extreme and incorrect?

I remember when I used to stand in the north bank as a kid, used to get crushed and shoved every game but I loved it and enjoy the memories.

Perhaps the younger generation should reconsider their seating/standing position if they're worried?

Behind most goals are where the more hardcore fans go and any goals or celebrations are normally celebrated a little more there with over enthusiastic jumping around, to guarantee safety I'd move to a different location if I was this kid.

Ps- was it the smoke that caused the issue or the celebrations when we saved the penalty as I know a few people went potty and charged when it was saved, perhaps he got crushed?

The atmosphere on Monday was great, especially considering the limited numbers. The reaction to the penalty-save reminded me of how every Southend United goal was celebrated when I was in my teens. Obviously the seats kept a certain amount of restraint (i used to be both delighted and scared when we scored in a big game as there was nothing to keep you in place..you just moved with the celebration and ended up ..anywhere) but the sheer delight at the save and gloating reaction took me back!!
It will need a larger number to reach the crescendo of scoring against Watford, Aston Vila (the media reported the roar could be heard at the end of the pier) and Cardiff City...but Monday was an extremely promising start.
Congrats to all..from a nearly 50 yr old., Great to hear The Hall supporting again.

Remember once back in the late '70s my mum told me she heard the roar when we scored from the back garden of our house in Orchardside (just off the Whitehouse road)
Excellent work TB, will definitely locate there on my next visit.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but do we need to buy tickets in the West and then transfer to the North Bank once in the ground or can we buy for the North from the ticket office?

Cheers

100% CONFIRMED.

Details should be up on the OS later...

We're the North bank of Roots Hall!

Anyone else think we should tell the club/players that should we win the toss we should choose to shoot towards the north bank in the 2nd half?

I know the boy in question and the family - I am dissapointed that they have felt the need to blow it out of all proportion and risk us getting the North Bank back - the lad in question is a good supporter and was only a bit shocked/overwhelmed from what I could see and was told.

I wasnt one bit surpeised to see what I read in the echo!

The lad in question is a STH in the family stand along with his two sisters so how they managed to get into the North bank I wouldnt know!!!!

The lad was ok when I gave him my drink but once his sister come over he started to cry but nothing was wrong with him apart from he was shaken up properly more by the rush of fans that went towards the Crawley fans
