North Bank for Saturday

Just had a long convo with Jobbo - said to him and we are in agreement that us as supporters should not be punished by one indvidual taking a smoke bomb in - further to this Dave Jobson confims that possitive comments were made by Ron Martin and Geoff King - I pushed for us to have the North Bank this Saturday and Dave is looking into this.

It mite be the case you buy your ticket for the west and you just wander over to the north this looks the best option.

I think we can all agree that we need to be where we were last night it made such a difference with the roof etc....

Also Accrington at home is pretty much the lowest risk game of the season too!

I will update with further info but I doubt we will get reduced ticket prices but in a way who cares if you would have gone to the game anyway!

WE'RE THE NORTH BANK
WE'RE THE NORTH BANK
WE'RE THE NORTH BANK OF ROOTS HALL!

If Ron is banking on promotion to keep this club alive then it needs to be done. Good work TB, though who ever is responsible for these smokebombs, leave them at home eh?

As much as I love them and they are ok in Europe but not here for some sad reason - it is ****ing the club off and I will stand up for the club on this issue we mite hate Ron etc.. but we are very very lucky to have Dave Jobson and he does what he can and works with the fans so we can make this possible

I hear sorties like at Stockport where the club banned the drummer because he was too loud! we are very lucky how we are policed as fans at roots hall!

As someone who never had the chance to go in the North Bank of old, I'd love the opportunity to go in the north bank. (just need to be able to get to some games first ).

I'd suggest TBV start a campaign with an online petition, to at least get a set number of games next season where we can go in the north bank ala last night. Would be a good stepping stone, to then getting in there permenantly after that. Would also help to raise TBV/SZ profile (without requiring people to sign up to SZ just to vote).

Shame somebody ahd to let off a smoke bomb off, may add to the atmosphere, but the powers that be can use it as an excuse for not reopening the north bank.

@NorthBankSUFC

Follow, follow, follow. RT, RT, RT!!

Ah, a welcome return to unreserved seating.

Obviously doesn't work for sell outs or near sell outs but it would for most games. Gives you the opportunity to sit next to who you want to on the day ..... and equally importantly to not sit near someone you don't want to !

Am a STH and I would happily move my seat and wouldnt careless if the club sold North bank tickets for £5.00 the rest of the season as it would have the best interest to the club/team.

Ditto, the atmosphere in there last night was awesome and got the old memories flooding back but much more important than reminiscing for this old git was the look on the faces of everyone around, smiles and a true sense that we helped achieve something last night. For the first time in ages I got the feeling that we felt were part of the team, the true twelfth, eleventh, tenth man, the team certainly seemed to feel it and the rest of the ground responded to us better than I've seen in some time.

From my point of view I'm not too worried about the price. For the first time ever I've got a ST and would willingly move permanently into the North Bank for the rest of this season. The important thing would be to get the North full enough to be viable to achieve what we want noise wise.
What I would suggest is that ST holders be given the option to register their intent to transfer in and those numbers set aside, the remaining capacity to be sold on the day for £15, cash only at the West ticket office, first come first served and all tickets for the NB, including ST to be unreserved seating.
So you have, say, 650, capacity. 150 ST's register to move into NB, leaves 500 to be sold on the day. No faffing about with advance sales and discounts for buying in advance so does away with some of the admin to justify the lower price, a slightly lower price which just might attract a few more in, and if they experience an atmosphere anything like last night they will come back again, and next season......

To the club, great move to open it up for last night and if you're serious about getting up this season and want our help,

*********** GIVE US BACK THE NORTH BANK FOR GOOD !!!!! ***********

Good work TB will be great if we can have the North bank back for a few low risk home games this season. Considering we were just holding on for a draw last night I thought the crowd was really loud lets see if we can get it even louder for the nex tfew home games. As supporters we can play our part in trying to lift the team.

Yes, far more important than having players with flair in the team. (No pun intended)

We've got the team and the manager we have, you can't change that. Do you want to linger in this god-awful division another year or do you want to move forwards. If the "12th" man helps us cross that line then more power to TB and TBV for getting the North Bank back..

I'd like promotion but if we fail it won't change my life. What I do take issue with is all the flair players we do have are apparently being hounded out of the club by their "team mates" and being gleefully congratulated by most contributors on this forum. But if you all feel that being allowed to stand in the North Bank will make all the difference, well, godd luck to you in your efforts.

I congratulate you on your efforts last night, in my opinion you were the 11th man and when needed the 10th and 11th.

Ah back to Bilel. The man is a huge disruptive influence who attacks his own team mates with scissors, but that's ok because he can score a wonder-goal occasionally and has his photo taken with the kids.

I would move to north from SU straight away whatever price tickets are, miss my view of game but atmosphere makes up for that :)

I can't remember better singing by the home support at Roots Hall since the terraces went. Outstanding.

Allegedly. And it looks like Hall is being frozen out now too.

Also the whole matchday experience is better in the north bank with a better atmosphere as it does get boring in w block especially when we attack the south stand goal. And I thought the view of both goals is a million times better then in w block the only problem is that is that it's miles away from the bar. And smiffy you missed a great session with the Milan fans in the railway last night
