I'll be the short one, will have to lose some weight though!

It will be a difficult one to introduce, but as the saying goes Rome wasnt built in a day and all that..

In all seriousness, if your going to push for this song (which incidently is among my favorites) You should leave it be and not try to edit the words. Your only succeeding making a hard task even harder. I would suggest that you adopt the first verse and chorus only. Plenty long enough as an anthem and easier for people to digest.

I think it's probably best to put the original and SUFC edited version out there and see which one people prefer. If people in general prefer changing a few words to attach it to SUFC a little more, then I can't see it being that much harder. If, OTOH, people want to keep it original, then that can be done.

Agreed.

It's all about what the fans find easier to learn really, so if the edited version is to difficult for the majority, then go with the original..

Either way, this has to be top of the pile so far..

Sure, I think this song has more chance than most of working but in its original state, not spiced up for the sake of it. Most middle aged blokes know the words ( or many of them ) and its your best chance of getting a chain reaction going. (Bearing in mind that most dont come on SZ).

We will have a count up from SZ, SOL and the OS, and the three most occuring songs will be put to a poll...

Ok, But it just seems to be over complicating where one should be simplifing. Print the original first verse and chorus and bobs your uncle! Everyone of the same hymn sheet!

And also, it will be sung by the Blues Idol winner, so IF this song wins and this edited version is the most popular of the two, it will be the version played over the tannoy on matchday.

The Club Anthem question has been put on SOL as well as SZ, I will have a chat with the AAS guys to see if they can help too..

It will shortly be on the OS and arriving in your mailboxes too..
