Opened up the season with a 2-2 home draw. Annoyingly forgot to CA but I have managed to achieve virtually identical stars and stats as last season with a wage bill chopped by 40%.

Going to be a lot harder to win the league this season though. My main rival isn't yesterday's oppo. They built nicely in the second half of last season and finished like a dog on heat. May be worth saving the CA for a surprise. Fan expectation is must win the title. Definitely top 2 but I can't guarantee beyond that. Last season's tight defence has been decimated so I am likely to leak goals. I also have no funds left in the kitty and no trainees due to sell.

I also won 9-0.

Playing 5-4-1, my central midfield combined for 3.5* (including 1* gray), my central defence 5.5*.

My first team keeper managed to get on the score sheet though (was playing in defence).

Looking forward to seeing who I've got in the next round.

Two wins out of three to start the season, most notably against former Cup winners Apollo who began the season with this comment:

Id like to keep my wages at 100k above my nearest rival.
In the past i have always set wages based on what my rivals have and usually they are lower.
This season they have to be higher as i want to make my way back up the leagues :)

They haven't made a good job of it so far!

Form is on the floor and one striker is injured so we can improve. Also have a lot of money in the bank to spend after last weeks YP sold for £1m and this weeks is currently at £500k. Now up to £4m from my YA!

Got a bot this week so could go top of my III, still comfy in the cup too. All is well.....

Dumped out of the cup on pens last week :(

Also only drew yesterday so now 4 points behind leaders in second. Shouldn't really finish any lower than this and at 42nd of all Div V teams I should really be looking to win the title again. I play the team that is top on Weeks 7 + 8 and as I out stats and star them I really should win both.

Way off the pace, dropped my wage bill hugely this season so much weaker than last season. Got enough in the tank though and accumulating cash nicely.

I'd also like to point out that I was resting my England international for that game!

To be fair getting such a high rating isn't a sign of being a good manager - as I possibly should have PIC that game, but I've been carefully managing TS and an extra PIC wouldn't have made all that difference.

Yep, I've tried to pitch my team in at a Level that would compete in the division, no point wasting wages if you don't need to. I would say on the whole the III I'm in is weaker than the IV I came out of, hence my downgrade. If I go up to II I will change it all round again.

still ticking along nicely here. 4 pts behind top but with back to back games on wk 7&8. Also found out his workmate is in my BT OD league so the three of us have some good banter going.

Lost my last two, not good enough to go up this season but I won't be going down. PICed on Sunday to try and ensure cup progress tonight. Also picked up a new striker with all my YP profits:

I'm currently top, having won 5 out of 6 games. Been managing my team spirit well giving me some good midfield ratings, so I should win all my home games. Getting points from away games remains a little trickier.

3-2 win away at leaders sees me 1pt below them with home game to come this week. I MoTSed yesterday and possibly can't afford to do that on return.

A comfortable 2-0 win on a CA.

I now face a dilemma for my cup tie, do I sacrifice a training spot or two for another round in the cup.

I got done in the cup last week so am now on cruise control for a comfy 2nd or 3rd placed finished in the league. Won 5-0 away on Sunday and play the same team at home this week.

I like the friendly pool feature. I've hit 100 flags now so have pretty much given up trying to add any more so it's nice to just go in and choose your opponent without having to challenge loads of teams and wait.

Lost in extra-time. If I'd counter-attacked like I should have done to maximise training I'd have won as well. Arse.
