New hattrick season

3-2 win away at leaders sees me 1pt below them with home game to come this week. I MoTSed yesterday and possibly can't afford to do that on return.

Only drew with them in the return leg - there's one team realistically that will have a say in where the title goes but with the fans expecting the title it's currently out of my hands

Won 1-0 away at the leaders, now 4 behind with two bots to play. Could yet make a push to get into II!

I'm now 5 points clear in my division and just as importantly in 6th place in the auto-promotion table (top 8 automatically promote).

Should win my division now, but might struggle to hold onto the auto-promotion slot.

I'd get murdered in II.

If I made it up I would probably make one final push to get into the top division with some high skill players and then bow out. It's so hard to get a fully balanced team to stay at the top end now, particularly with the scarcity of decent English players these days.

I've got virtually no cash and an ageing team which is a horrible combination. Rebuilding in II wouldn't exactly be easy and so it would be tempting to bow out in a blaze of glory, but I think the more interesting game plan would be to try and rebuild without going down to IV. This is the stage where HT starts to get interesting.

oh to have such luxuries. I'm still struggling to get out of V and I need the top team to draw a game. If I get promoted to IV I'm confident I could survive. Currently only achieving around 60 stars and 240 hatstats but I have no age problems and plenty of trainees to sell together with upgrading current midfield. The multiskilled trainees which currently sit in the reserves would move to first team and I'd CA most matches. They're all minimum brilliant PM some with decent passing and minimum formidable defending but will be outstanding and better next season. If I don't go up I'll still sell trainees and buy younger blood but will have no need to upgrade elsewhere.

I know Andee folded but what happened to the teams of MTS, GNH and others ?

I still have a team, but my interest is decreasing. I only really log on a couple of times a week. I have a good enough team to stay in V but not to get promotion. My team is also seriously neglected and my key playesr are all hitting 30.

That's no excuse to wimp out when the going gets tough!

Beat Baggies 5-1 today and now it really is all to play for.

1. Real Baggies...........................10 7 1 2 39 15 24 22
2. Are you Sunderland in disguise...10 7 0 3 37 12 25 21
3. ShrimperZone FC.....................10 7 0 3 32 10 22 21

After last weekends results I am now in pole position. A draw may well be enough as my challenger has 5 goals to make up. Though I'm unbeaten 4 draws mean a playoff is most likely barring plenty of results going in my favour. Unfortunately my opponent Sunday is currently the strongest team in the division so this Sunday will be interesting.

Having neglected my team over the festive period, I find myself needing to win the final game of the season against the bottom team to win the league.

I'm now just below the automatic promotion line, so will probably have to PIC it.

I should have wrapped it up by now, but like my battrick team I haven't been giving it enough attention.

1. Real Baggies................... 13 9 1 3 53 20 33 28
2. Are you Sunderland in disg 13 9 0 4 53 15 38 27
3. ShrimperZone FC............. 13 9 0 4 45 15 30 27
4. Apollo............................ 13 8 1 4 48 16 32 25

I play a bot and Baggies and Sunderland play each other. A draw would be ideal, though a narrow Sunderland win may allow me to make up the goal difference.

Tee hee.

Sunderland won 3-2, I won 11-0 and I have a qualifier to go into II!

I won on a PIC at home and now also have a qualifier to go into II.

I missed out on the automatic promotion by one place.

Won my qualifier 3-1 somehow!

1 - 0 Lionel Pickess 43'
1 - 1 Godefroy Molinari 76'
1 - 2 Guillermo Pérez 80'
1 - 3 Vittorio Guerinoni 81'

I last looked on 75 and then went out so was very surprised this morning!

Now to decided whether to go all out for a glory run into the top level or try to handle myself for a while in II. Hmmm.....

Lost a qualifier for the second successive season :'(

Gonna be much harder next season even to finish in top spot :(

Also won my qualifier 3-1.

I stand no chance of a glory run into the top level: my choice is between trying to stay up and completely overhauling my side.

My team is relatively young enough to overhaul upwards. Got the cash in the bank so I might just see if I can get to II standard this season then have one big run for glory next season.
