Most talented Blues player you've ever seen

1. Ricky Otto
2. Stan Collymore
3. Freddy Eastwood
4. Ronnie Whelan
5. Dave Regis ha ha only kidding having difficulty with no.5

Steve Phillips, scored shed loads of goals every season during the early 80's including 84/5 when we finished 5th bottom of Div 4. He scored loads at every club he was at.

Eastwood is the best player I have seen in a Southend United shirt bar none. You have to remember I didn't see the likes of Collymore, Otto, et all.

Shaun Goater. The boy just oozed class.

Kevin Maher - Ver effective user of a ball.

JCR - Extremely talented, just didn't use it to the best of his abilities with us.

Bailey - He will play Premiership football before his career is over in my opinion.

Sorry to go back a bit,but for me Sammy McCorry just edging out stan the man

If we're going old skool, it's gotta be Harry 'The Hitman' Halse - didn't he score about 600 goals in a season? (Obviously that's an exaggeration, but it was something like 91?)

I agree BW. Hopefully with us ! ;)

1. Stan collymore should have gone on to world stardom
2. Ricky otto, on his day unstoppable
3. david crown, proper striker in short shorts
4. Chris powell, simply the best player IMO ever at the hall
5. spencer prior could see when he broke into the first team here that he was going to play at the top

:D :flamer:

Flavs has lots of natural talent in terms of his shot-stopping... but he's been held back through a lack of height and, perhaps, a lack of decisiveness.

There's a few players on that table who haven't made the most of their natural, God-given ability - Hodges & Byrne clearly are at the top of that list (through attitude), as is Jay Smith (through brittleness), but Darryl would perhaps be on there as well...

Stan
Peter Taylor
Anto Otulakowski
Colin Morris
Chico Hamiltion
Chrissy P

All players on the up

Players who were great before they came to us
Ronnie Whelan
Mike Marsh
Eddie Clayton
Eddie firmani
And probably the best of the lot (but before all bar cricko's time ) david Jack
(on his day the most expensive player in the world )
