maybe these are 2 players who we really dont need .Both player came to the club from a club that wanter to get shot of them .So like a club in destpration we took them on board .Sadly they have not worked out .So maybe its time to say thanks to them and get rid .

Well in Moncur's case we are only paying a part of his wages. About a third, Orient are paying the rest. Even that is too much. Bonne was without a Club, can't see it was necessary to break the bank to sign him.

Interesting that Bonne is taking the blame for yesterday when he didn’t start. Bonne and Pepple had been our most effective strike partnership which has been abandoned for no reason.
I don’t think Bonne is a good long term option. But for the meantime, I’d rather see him starting over Walker, than got rid of.

I think Bonne needs tobe starting with either Bim or Walker. He will not be prolific, a goal or more every 4/5 games is what I'd be looking for him to get. However I see him in the Benji/ MAF role. He defends set pieces better than most AND hopefully can help Danny Waldron progress.
GM I have not seen enough of, he is lacking in "spark" and the closing down isn't his thing it appears; I hope he comes good but doubt it will happen.
Bridge is living on our loyalty atm, not justifying his automatic selection, same as Noor in that respect.

It’s not just about scoring though is it? It’s about the space he creates for Pepple enabling him to score and create chances for others.
Walker has hardly been prolific, he’s scored twice. I personally think Walker is the better player, but Bonne is better for Pepple/the team at the moment.
Is it that Moncur and Bonne are “rubbish” “crap” “lazy” etc or could it be that the majority of those around them just aren’t on the same page?
Whilst I agree the pair of them have looked rusty and somewhat off it. There’s not many others in the current squad that have exactly stood out so far either. Gus, Bim and Taylor perhaps.
We need better players around them and a different style of play for us to get the best out of those two, in my opinion.

We were crap in our first 2 games before Moncor arrived (although admittedly the first was against York who are flying). Scapegoat them if you want but I wouldn't expect things to improve if they left.

More to the point, who scouted these players? I`m sure we didn`t just take a gamble? It certainly hasn`t helped us, and money that could have been directed elsewhere.

Look back on this forum. Pretty much everyone wanted these players - they were going to be game-changers at this level apparently - and we shouldn't be re-writing the narrative to 'who the hell scouted them'.
And is the problem the players? If Bonne, for example, went elsewhere in this league, would he perform better? And if we changed manager tomorrow, how would the new bloke set up next weekend with this squad - because I'll have money it wouldn't be with a 3-5-2.

I know it`s a bit off topic, but if our manager was not so stubborn and loyal, he would change formation to try and get the best for the team? See that it wasn`t working yesterday and not leave it until the 64th minute to make changes? It`s very frustrating, and we all want it to work out, but sometimes loyalty to royalty may need to be de-throned? Are we going to be saying the same things in 3 games time, because madness is doing the same thing over and over again. If he hasn`t got the players to play his system, then adopt a system to accommodate the players.
If I could only bin one I think I’d keep Bonne over Moncur.
With Bonne I at least see the workrate improving and I think he could at least be used off the bench.
So many of our problems yesterday seemed to be Moncur not doing the defensive stuff. He hasn’t the legs to overlap Bridge and he hasn’t the legs to support him defensively either. We could maybe switch to Ralph at LWB once Gubbins is fit again but why would we want to organise our team around a player who has shown next to nothing? If you’re going to be a luxury player you better damn we’ll produce goals and assists and not only hasn’t he done this he hasn’t looked like doing this.
But ultimately I don’t think either will be here next season.
