Nobody will beat this! Get the rights to it now so that when we do sell him on, we can chuck in the song to bump up the fee!

The club have done well unearthing such a gem and getting him on an extended contract. I find it sad when players like Dervite, who can do a great job for a club like us, end up rotting in the reserves for clubs like Tottenham (although he did eventually go to Villareal B). MAYBE Mohsni will want the adulation he is getting at Southend for a little bit longer while he improves his English and settles into English football. Let's give him a hero's welcome at Barnet and give him all the reasons to stay that we can. We need a good chant. How about (to the tune of 'That's Amore"):

To be fair it wasn't a very clearly made post, but..

Money talks....with the club losing 1.2 million a year that sounds like a reasonable fee to me

I'd have taken "that" to refer to the quotes in a previous post (probably the £100 mark that C C Csiders quoted as down payment). The £1.2M I'm seeing as our annual loss and an example of why we'd have to settle for so low a figure.

Guessing you mean N'Goo ..... the one that went to Liverpool and is get great reviews.

Would be a shame to lose him, but hopefully we can keep him until the end of the season as there isn't much time to get a replacement this month.

I may be wrong but believe that Barnards contract ran out at the end of last season at which point he walks for nothing so 175K plus add ons plus Patterson was the best we could do.

As Barrys Boss pointed out we had a bid from Wolves that with add ons would result in a potential 1m fee and so we extended his contract to ensure we get a decent price when/if he goes. Whisper it quietly but probably good busines by Ron!!

Yes, very good business. But the 5th page of this thread is no doubt where any mention of it will stay, whereas you can bet that IF he goes then there will be a number of threads criticising Ron for the sum achieved, why it wasn't more and why didn't we get a 4 year extension...

yes of course its reality, but as tommy said bilel has lightened up a very dark time for us, and i still havent ruled out the blue square for us this season which as we all know would be the end.....
any deal must ensure that he's loaned back, or it could be curtains,

it must be a no brainer for a premiership club, take him on for what a premiership team considers peanuts, if it works great, if it doesnt they sell him to a championship or league 1 side.
we'll see i guess :(

We have 35 points with 20 games to go. Last season 45 points would have been enough to stay up and Im sure we can muster 15 points out of the next 60.

We have won 5 games out of our last 8, we may not get promoted but there is no chance we will end up in the bottom two, so relax :)

unless it is the difference between going out of business or staying in business we should NOT sell him.
Whatever we are offered he is going to be worth more in the summer
Also you HAVE to factor in the extra cash HE brings in . People will go to Roots hall just to watch him . Promotion is now a real possbility with the extra money that will bring. If we can get to the play offs the crowds will come back .

To me unless we absoluely HAVE to have the money financially it makes not sense to sell him NOW. The only way I will change my mind is if the club feel he would 'do a bailey' . Maybe I am thinking with my heart more than I am prepared to accept, but please dont sell him----YET!

I really don't think that would happen with Mohsni, he seems like he genuinely loves the supporters and really enjoys the adulation. Of course he will move on in the near future and good luck to him, but I get the impression that he will continue to give absolutely everything for the club until we decide the time is right to let him move on.

Whereas Bailey was an odious little cu.........

this is my first time in the directors box and just relaying what I saw and heard. I've been honest and not started any rumours. I hope to god its not true... But who else was mowbray watching and why was tara so cosy with him?

Football has just gone ****ing mad.
Bilel has been really good for us and he is a cult figure ALREADY!
But at Northampton away I actually remember thinking, oh know this guy is going to cost us goals! That's only a few months ago.
He's had three games now where he has been brilliant.
And we've apparenlty had interest in him before yesterday so that is literally a game and 2 thirds that he has been good for. How could he attract this much interest this is league 2, how can they be sure that he would be of Premiership quality? (I happen to think he will be and probably wouldn't look that much out of place already) But the gambling in the game now is madness.

The game has gone NUTS!
