I don't take CB's post to be racist, just wrong on several points. You cannot argue with the assessment that he is erratic, but his benefits outweigh that point. He's one of the most naturally gifted players we have had for years and he has won us far more points than he has lost (and he has lost us points).

What I think his biggest asset is, quite apart from his footballing ability, is the way he has made so many Southend fans enjoy watching their team again. A mate of mine didn't come for a while last season, not until the Accrington game because he had grown disillusioned and didn't feel the team was his anymore. But after 90 minutes of watching Mohsni he felt differently. He's such a character and personally I loved it when he grabbed that **** belford round the throat after the Bury game last season. He opitimises the passion most fans have for the club and that's why he's so important to us. There's a fine line between passion and costing us games and he still needs to work on that - but if and when he does he'll be one of the best players we've seen here in years.

And this is not a glorious country. It used to be, but that was a long time ago.

I don't see why in this case as it's an opinion about a specific religious issue and it's effect rather than a racial stereotype. Ridiculously blinkered in my opinion, unrealistic, out of date, out of touch, quite frankly stupid but we can't ban people for stupidity or I'd have gone years ago.

This Christian Country you refer to as We, Are you a devout christian ?, do you fast at lent ?, go to church on a sunday ?, follow the commandments? and adhere to the teachings of the bible ?

I imagine its a no to most if not all of those, yet you choose to mock someone who adheres to his religious beliefs because they are not the same as the religious beliefs you hide behind yet choose not to follow.

I'm more inclined to ban you for selective quoting to make your point - it's become such a habit for you that you seem to do it almost every time someone doesn't agree with you. You're even doing it in your signature when the poster was clearly trying to put across the opposite view.

Now, if we can all be adult about this, resting a player for his religious views is actually quite an interesting topic. Perhaps we can get back to that.
