I do think that his contract should have been set up so that if he is unable to play due to personal choices he has made then he shouldn't be paid for those times. This will reflect on his ability to stay calm too as when hungry everyone is ratty. Not that he is calm at any other time of the year, but.... Christians have Lent which I also feel is stupid but fasting puts yourself in danger. I guess the club feel his talents warrant them working round his wishes.

What about if we had a Christian player who felt that, for religious reasons, he couldn't agree to work on a Sunday? That means no training or playing in games on a Sunday? What country should he **** off to?

What a burden on the wage bill they are, pretending they can play every game, then one tiny little broken leg they cry for their mummy and spend a month or two in hospital. Malingering puffs. It is a problem for me that you are showing a racial hatred of a Southend player. A player that gives his all, on and off the pitch. At the MTBD, he went well beyond the call of duty above any other player. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He loved being with the fans. He even had a kick about with them and was apparently the last to leave.
So yes, I do have a problem with you. Try and keep your racial bigotry to yourself. As I am sure that to most Southend fans, Bilel is most welcome at this club.
