Hopefully means Phillips is ok to play, wouldn't have thought we'd rule out Bilel otherwise.
More to do with the Ramadan fasting and a reasonably fair distance to travel I'd have thought, plus as Sturrock says the 3 games close together. It's not as if we're short of defenders, even if Phillips hasn't recovered from his broken eyelash! :winking: Surprised Barker might be back, that's more like 3 days than 3 weeks.

I wonder if PS has also taken into account the fact that Mosh got sent off up there last season, and would be prime for winding up again...

A good spot sir.
That, and the other reasons means it's a good decision in my eyes. With Dickinson now up front, Bilel can fulfill his immense potential as a centre back. The only problem is that we now have 3 very good centre backs, of which none deserve to be left out. A nice problem to have for a change.

Not including Coughlan in those 3 as he will be more of a coach/assistent manager this season.

He will still make the trip

I would say this is closer to the truth as he was proper wound up last and am sure it be the same this time

Surely he travels and just sits on the bench.

The central defence consits of Barker (half crocked), Phillips (half crocked) and Coughlan (old). Surely you stick Bilel on the bench in case of emergencies?

Is Ramadan at different times each year? As I remember us having this with Mohsni last year but at this point last season we still couldn't play him as he hadn't recieved his clearance.

if and its a big if he is being rested for religious reasons, thats truly shocking, whats the point of signing a player that cannot play during ramadan?? you ppl on here that are building him up to be a cult, shame on you, I think he is a major liability his play is erratic, and if the rm wants to practise his beliefs, then find a islamic country where you can ply your trade
but dont come to our glorious country

It tends to move back two or three weeks each year due to the positioning of the moon, I believe.

Yeah, I thought that too so look it up and it seems to move about like Easter does.
