I have a dilemma. I am.working Monday 9-7.30. I have tried in vane to get a shift swap or cover but haven't been able to get any.

I am also in the doghouse for the bury game as it's our first wedding anniversary! The Mrs has given me the "you decide what's more important" speech. Feck knows why we have to play the final game on a Sunday ffs.

I have now managed to get today off work. Result!

I've been married for many years and I can assure you, when she finally says "it's fine. You go to the game"....it is NOT fine ! :winking: Do not fall into the trap #justsaying

Believe me I know that one for sure. I have agreed that if the bury game is irrelevant ie we have secured a spot or not , then I went go. If however it's vital then I'm going. What makes matters worse is that the inlaws are having the little one for the first time. First night off and out for an anniversary meal the night before. Didn't realise that it's a 12pm ko until yesterda. The hits just keep rolling lol

For those travelling to The Hall; weather is about 12C, grey skies, light wind, -very good for the game & high energy.
Check the roads as A127 is reported to be a nightmare and London Vic trains maybe off schedule.

2nil Bliues, Cox and Lennie.

We don't necessarily have to beat the Dons today, but we certainly need to draw, and we also certainly need Fleetwood to beat Milwall. In that case we would have to beat both Oxford and Bury.

So let's make it easy for ourselves (for once) by thrashing the franchise today.......

Oh yes we do!!! At the moment, we are not going to make the play-offs. It looks as if the remaining play-off place is between us and Millwall, at the present time it is they who are in the driving seat...........three wins in their final games and we can huff and puff as much as we want but they will still be playing in May, whilst we go off on holiday. There can be many twists in football (even with only three games left) but today looks on paper, to be the CRUNCH day for both clubs, particularly Millwall. They face what looks to be their toughest task of the remaining games, against a Fleetwood side, still dreaming (thanks to Oldham) of automatics. Whilst we have to rely on Fleetwood to, at least, get something from the game, we have to ram home that advantage by getting maximum points today. Gaining even a point on our rivals today and play-off qualification is back in our hands.
Whatever the results, it is worth reflecting on this season and giving a huge thank you to the squad and the management for giving us the excitement right up to the final games. This position was something few of us would have believed possible, twelve games into the season..........indeed, many would have predicted a stressful finish to the season..........at the wrong end of the table.

We've already beaten Oxford away. Would Shrewsbury do instead?

Running every 20 minutes, so sounds like a normal Monday service, though not sure if there's engineering work further down the line.

They are certainly running from Billericay into Southend Vic.

Have to win for two reasons;

- it's a home game
- keeps pressure on
- the continued statement of intent ( ok three reasons )

Nothing less than a win for me today , I'm not "settling" for a draw, the team should be focused on winning the remaining 3 games !

Should be near on 9k today. X block is 3/4 sold already and the seat stat checker shows over 7,500 so must be over 8k sold already.

Yep, it's the usual weekend / holiday / whenever-they-like maintenance work.....

As a result of Crossrail and Overhead Line Renewal works, there will be no Greater Anglia train service between London Liverpool Street and Ingatestone / Billericay all day.Buses will replace trains between Ingatestone/ Billericay and Newbury Park (London Underground Tube Station). Tickets will be accepted on the Central Line from Newbury Park to/ from London Liverpool Street.

Subtle but important selection dilemmas for Brown & Coughlan today.

This is where they earn their money ............... but then it is all down to the XI in the blue shirts ........ okay - 10 in blue shirts and the goalie ......

..... and then there is the crowd of course.

Big game today. They are getting bigger as the season rolls on. There will be 9k in attendance today. Bank holiday game with much riding on it.

If we can't get 9k+ for games like this then it's not worth us being promoted. I can see Y block being opened as people turn up on the day!
