Migrant "children" from Calais

Yes because the migrants don't like responsibilities by the sound of it. They have to pick 4 kg of fruit in the afternoon each day. That's terrible. Lets get them over here so they don't have to do any work and we will provide everything for them. Why cant they stay in france? By the sound of it they've got a job already and France is really nice I go on holiday there every year!

I don't think you'd like staying in a French refugee camp for children somehow.

When is the UK going to face up to its responsibilies with repect to these child refugees from the Calais camp?

They have safe refuge in France (a country not ravaged by war, they are in a safe place) so what are you on about? It is France's shame, not the UKs!

The point is that these are refugees who want to come to the UK not stay in France.

I'm sure you know that you have to claim refugee status in the first safe country you get to, not the country you most like the look of. People who are in France trying to hijack tour buses are not refugees.

That is certainly the convention, which I'm sure you know, is being widely ignored atm.It's only natural that refugees should want to go to a country, where they perhaps speak the language or they perceive (rightly) that living standards are higher etc.

Clearly this is an issue which the EU needs to adress,asap.

They will only be disappointed to find out most of us have to work a 12 hour day or more if you add travel time for those falling standards.

For ages the news was full of children this and children that,now nothing whatsoever....it's a miracle praise the Lord.

I had many sleepless nights thinking of those poor kids.

Well not all, one young allegedly 16 year old girl has been arrested for prostitution. Still she must have known that boat rides across the Med and space in a lorry through Europe doesn't come cheap.

Still as you Remainers keep telling me, we need migrants to do this sort of low paid work. After all you just can't get lazy British girls to work the streets these days.

Anecdotal I know but I personally know one ex- illegal immigrant -from Albania-who's now working in Glasgow as a Doctor and presumably making a valuable contribution to the NHS.
