Mark Gower??

With all due respects you could quite easily come down next season and having seen you this season I was left highly underwelmed (Accept it could have been an off day) so he has to weigh up if its worth one potential season in the championship or if he thinks you can stay up more.

Gower has been offered a deal with us which he has accepted he will be down to sign the contract soon as he get back from holidays so it will all be tied up within the next 2wks lads..

And what source did you get that from??

Be a shame to lose him, but I've a feeling that had MG stayed we'd have seen him underperforming. Just get the impression that he needed a new challenge, not to mention the chance to live on a peninsular named after him!

Ignore the sheep thing jack. I speak to loads of swansea fans down here and the comparisons are quite similar between gower and robinson. It seems that robinson drifted out of games as much as gower can. I think that this is as near as a done deal as you can get. Who would blame gower for moving up a division at this stage of his career?

Yeah i agree with you there mate

Not very polite to our mates in Wales is it! No need for abuse son.

Well pardon i,is it really the done thing to come onto another club's supporter's site and tell them one of their best players will be moving?
Unfounded rumour as much as anything seen on here,i see this as a slant on my club.Although Swansea Jack hasn't said "we're nicking your best players and we're having fun telling you" -he might have well have.

He gets the dignity his post deserves.

If I was massively in the know at Southend and knew we'd be signing, say, Jason Scotland from them, I'd be on there to let them know and see what their opinions of the guy was.

I've got everything crossed hoping his just winding us up, but I do think Gower will be playing at Swansea next season.

At last a decent fan well saying that most of you are ,well except for one!! mention no names!!

Cheers mate.

A decent fan would not go gossiping or bragging on another club's site.

Can't remember us nipping over to Jack's Army or whatever it's called and saying we were in talks with Trundle at the time, with respect sir.

Think you're being a bit over sensitive there, just seemed to me he was asking our opinion, and keeping us updated on the situation regarding one of our players.

I would imagine any contract would be far greater than we could / would offer. Considering the offer for Robinson to stay was 6k pw I would hazard a guess that the Swans offer is at least 1500 a week better than ours plus any signing on fee and a final (for MG at least) crack at the 2nd teir of English football. To be honest , for someone who has spent the bulk of their career in the lower reaches (both football and salary wise) it would be a no brainer.

If he goes, then good luck to the lad.
Now are there any casino's in Swansea I could buy some shares in.......

Lets face it Freddy Eastwood was our best player in our championship season and the 2 seasons before. We got relegated and he had an offer to play in the Championship (not that he really got to play that much) so he took it. It has helped his Wales career.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce had an offer to play in the Championship, he took it! You can't blame players for wanting to further their career. And if Gower were to choose to play for Swansea I will not hate him or have anything against his decision because he has been a great player for us and well we didn't go up. He is not getting any younger so the offer of championship football with Swansea will be attractive to him.

All I say to him is Good Luck if he does decide to go cause he is one of my favourite players, has been a great servant for us and will be sorely missed.

Just hope if he does leave and we get Swansea in a cup game our fans with no brains don't boo him because he does not deserve it. Nither did Jamal!!

Yep he has been a great servant for the club , but the time has come for him to move on and actually have to work for his money rather than having no competition in the sqaud and knowing that even when playing awful his starting spot was safe.

Marky is probably on between £1500 and £2500 , i say let him go and bring in someone who is willing to run to the ball and will not jump out of tackles.

Thanks for the memories Mark hope all goes well IF you go.

Good luck to him.

On his day Gower was the best player in our side but unfortunately i felt he didn't have his day enough.
