Manager Sacking and Appointment Thread

Grimsby Town sack Paul Hurst after poor start to season.
Town are only one of the 4 promoted teams from last two season not to be in or about automatic or play off spots in L2.

another Johnny Foreigner manager gets the opportunity to take over a Championship club instead of a promising British one.
I can't think of many promising British managers, the current trend seems to just be to hire a ex-England international and then act suprised when it turns out being a good player doesn't make you a good manager. Will Still is the only promising manager I can think of that might have taken the job but he seems happy at Reims. I am surprised they didn't get Warnock though, maybe he wasn't interested.

And when they fail as so many do , the owner will wonder why, They dont really understaqnd that the English game is somewhat different than the leagues in Europe.

I watch a bit of world football and cant tell the difference between any league, be it Brazil, Greece, Japan, South Africa or where ever. Its now a global game and played pretty much the same way the world over. Most players in the prem are foreign so perhaps it make sense to have a foreign manager too.

Hope he does well because he's got a lot of potential but I'm pretty surprised by that. He was sacked by MK Dons less than 12 months ago after leading them to the bottom of the table, 6 points from safety. He's been doing well at Oxford but I would have thought he'd need another year of good results before championship clubs started enquiring. It sounds like the fans weren't happy the club sacked Pearson, hopefully they give him time if he doesn't hit the ground running.
