Just to clear up I'm not talking about tommy2holes here

I should hope not.

I only posted what was already posted on here. Just a little close up of each.

Tbf. I have always felt we are miles behind other clubs when it comes to kit launch.

Some clubs even launch before the end of the previous season.

Ours seem to get released about a week before the season starts and we have the inevitable stock issues.

Now that the kit has been outed online, I wouldn't be surprised to see it rushed through.

Love this new kit, and yes C2C are the main sponsor - good to see and I imagine it will result in a bit more community interaction.

Not sure how I feel about the red away kit though. Also, it is just me that thinks the SUFC crest looks a bit naff, albeit from a rather pixelated image?

In fairness to the club, i think they wanted the takeover, new shirts , season tickets to all be one big annoucement. Unfortunately they have been beaten to the post on the shirts and the new sponsor.

It is what it is now and they should IMO announce the shirts now as without blaming them at all that surprise has gone.

New kit is lovely, just a shame Tommy has to keep spoiling things and letting onto what should be a nice surprise. He has very little respect for the consortium and the staff working hard behind the scenes, he should allow them to reveal these things in their own way.
I have no idea who Tommy is and why he should "keep spoiling things" (which implies this is not the first time he's "spoiled" something).

I'm sure the marketing team at both C2C and the club are annoyed that these leaked pictures have got into the public domain, but they really should have been a bit more careful to keep it under wraps if they didn't want it getting out. It appears they've just gone to a railway station in Southend during operational hours - in this age where everyone has a camera on their phones and access to a social media account, it was pretty inevitable it would get leaked.

I'm afraid I have little sympathy if they failed to assess and manage the risks properly.

I would say Furious is more their feeling, but it's done, how they handle it now will be in their court.

I'm sure they are really unhappy about it being plastered all over twitter and now the zone.

I wouldn't have posted it on here first, and didn't.

Fwiw I think that the club may as well launch it now or at least put it on the website for a release date and pre orders.

Despite being 'furious', they should take comfort in the fact that the response on here is very positive. Good work all!

Which Tommy are you referring to?
Tommy Hilfiger, he spends a lot of his time on here.

The club have a plan for the release of the shirt which they will not change as it is something they have never done before. They are sticking to that plan and the pic seen was lucky as the shirt was only on view for 30 seconds.

Always a camera about.

Still being run on a cost plus basis though or has it returned to profit? If the former, which is what I suspect, although it's a private company operating, all the revenue goes to the Govt and they receive costs plus a profit percentage. The sponsorship will be a cost, so we're receiving that cash from the taxpayer!
