I expressed concerns to the club in an email after the trouble at the Cambridge game and after the trouble we encountered at Luton away. Steve Kavanagh emailed back and understood my concerns but in a roundabout way we couldn't afford to turn away the revenue. I had suggested giving Luton an allocation of 1300 the same as they gave us. SK said that it wouldn't make financial sense, as Luton can all but guarantee selling out their allocation, whereas, we couldn't guarantee selling the other half of the North Bank. I think he is right in one hand, but can't help thinking this game has got trouble written all over it especially if there is anything riding on the result.

Hello to all, to reassure any doubters, we at Luton regularly take over 2000 away, and have done all through our conference years, I have attended most of these games, and I can assure you that there is never any trouble from our fans. Isolated incidents of a minority of idiots/kids stirring trouble may be cited, but I prefer the testimony of clubs like Burton, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Hyde, Oxford and Stevenage amongst others who have all sent messages to our club praising the behaviour of our fans who travelled in large numbers to their grounds and enjoyed the day in peace.

Here's to a great day Saturday.

May the best team win.

A lot of tickets will be sold after tomorrow's game if we win if we lose people will probably save money till Play Offs

People been busy getting tickets online already. I would estimate about 5,750 home tickets sold so far so about 2,750 left.
Tomorrow will be a busy day in the ticket office.

One slight problem is that I can see them having to sell the 300 West Stand W block tickets as I would think most of Block X will be used for segregation.

I think we should tell Luton to refund all their ticket sales and send them all back to us, as we'll need them.

The Luton game is a dilemma, we have won nothing yet, so there is nothing to celebrate & yet it is (fingers crossed) the last home game of the season.
So do we have balloons, flags, streamers etc or is that tempting fate?
I am pleased Luton have something to play for as a "dead rubber" side could be relaxed and more dangerous - like Morecombe?

Yep we could certainly have done with being able to sell home tickets in West Stand Block X, maybe it will partly be used?
I would estimate around 2,250 to 2,500 home tickets available at the moment (Including Block W which they may have to sell). It will be interesting to see how many sold today.

Luton Town will have the advantage because they will have the North Bank , how I would love to be standing in the North Bank on Saturday with 2,500 Southend supporters in full voice .

I used to work with a luton fan.he text me this afternoon saying there is talk that luton fans are purchasing tickets in with the southend fans & that tommy robinson & edl are coming down.i hope theres plenty of police at the game.

Tommy Robinson left the EDL months ago. They also tend not to go to football matches - there demos are nearly always on a Saturday afternoon and I think half of them are probably on banning orders.

What has the EDL got to do with Luton town fc :stunned: The EDL have divisions everywhere, I am well confused.

I read on the Bury thread that Ron and et al have been naughty and silly in the opinion of a person; however that is AN opinion: & I would urge all fans to support/celebrate the whole team before, through the whole game, and after the game; win, draw or lose - despite the fact nothing will have been decided in this last league home fixture of the season.
