With the incidents before and after the Cambridge game being so recent I can't see the police leaving anything to chance this time.

I think it will be brilliant to have a full away end. Hopefully it will bring out the best in us as well and create a really good atmosphere. Havn't seen many clubs take up with NW corner for many years.

I can't really blame people for being a little worried about trouble, I no its been one bit of trouble for many years but I must admit it was pretty shocking to be honest and I have even considered not going to Cambridge away next season IF we are in the same league.

We still should hopefully get 7,500+ home fans turn out for this one.
We will outnumber them 3 to 1 they are the ones that should be worried!

Yes, lets hope those very dubious chants heard at the away game don't rear their ugly head.

Have it on good authority that pre Wycombe, jobson was informed of a group of 'trouble makers' coming to the game but he opted to allow them in. When these lads kicked off after they equalised and were attempting to reach the home fans whilst sending death threat signals they weren't kicked out of the ground.

Luton away a pal of mine was grabbed by his hood by a steward and pulled back dispite being three rows in front choking the lad.

Think Luton should get the treatment they gave us as apposed to our friendly stewards vs Wycombe. Hopefully the spread go home fans only for this one as well as I really don't fancy another Cambridge!

It has already.

Policy was changed last week before the Mansfield game, now strictly home fans only, which meant the friendly bunch of Stags fans that we had a beer with last year were barred.....
This is alongside the other changes made; now back to plastic glasses, closed pool table and dart board before the game and up until, I believe, 7pm.
I understand that this means that the pool team have been forced to rearrange their League game next Tuesday to now be played away as they wouldn't be able to open the pool table up until after 11:30 .....

All thanks to a few idiots from Cambridge who should be old enough to know better.

We were always going to take a garuanteed away sell out for financial reasons, despite only having to offer them 10% of ground capacity.

I believe that us being tardy in not buying tickets has forced the clubs hand into giving Luton the maximum number...clumsy fellow Shrimpers.

It would've been equal justice to stick 1,000 of them into the North-East corner, surrounded by 9,500 Shrimpers......but hey ho eh

I might have missed the point here, but when have we managed 8.5k home supporters in RH this season? I can't remember us achieving that figure, and, if that is the case, there is probably not a big chance of us making that against Luton. Allowing them the max amount of tickets at least gets more dosh in.

I'd have thought, last home game of the season, automatic promotion spot still on/or play off confirmation place, local-ish derby match...final game a long trek to Morecambe ... maybe I was being over optimistic  he said removing rose tinted spectacles

Sadly, I reckon you might have been, although I would love you to be right and sheds full of homers turn up. Now, if we make Wembley just watch them pop out of the woodwork.........'yeah mate always followed Southend'... and so on and so forth.

Yep, the largest crowd this season was the 7,200 odd at the Cambridge match.

, but can't help thinking this game has got trouble written all over it especially if there is anything riding on the result.

Which fortunately there wont be. Only chance for 'antics' will be if a 'private' coach is hired, and they make an evening of it in the Town/ Seafront before returning home.

Got my ticket for Luton game today, can't wait for that one as whatever this game means there will be a very good crowd:smile:

At this rate its likely to be of little importance to us but could determine whether they make the play offs or not.

Not quite the gravity of what I was hoping it would have, thought it could decide who went up automatically, but hopefully still have some weight to it.

Only 875 Luton at Dagenham last night for a 50 mile trip. That's still quite a few for League 2 but considering the numbers they have been taking that's well down on what I thought they would take.

I wonder if they will sell out their 2,500 allocation against us? It could be quite an important game for them so maybe they will?
