barnard will make his injury worse, wont be available for the weekend and leave us with one fit striker.

As greater man Tilly is.... you have to wonder sometimes, does he know what he is doing? even we know that an injured player plays, 9 time out of 10 he'll just make the injury worse.

furlong should never have been loaned out
we only had 4 others and now the worst case scenario has happenned

wot would be the point in getting furlong back for one game anyway when players will regain fitness for the next game. and tilly couldnt see that revs was gonna break his leg could he!?

Barnard, Freedman, Revell, Laurent, Walker. That's 5 without diving into the youth team. Furlong was surplus to requirements and, without any kind of injury crisis, is certainly not the answer.

We had Revell, Laurent, Freedman, Barnard, Walker and Adameno all available and Furlong was desperately short of match practice. Sending him out on loan was the right move. You can't legislate for a broken leg, a a fractured ankle and three muscle injuries inside a month.

Apart from those horrible first ten minutes...........we've actually done quite well which, all things considered, is somehting to be positive about.

very good point, and it sounds like Scannell has done really well.

Leeds went to one up front so they were obviously scared of the famous Southend last minute come backs !;)
