I been reading all these threads and my conclusion is as follows:

1. The problem started at the beginning of the season when we could get the right players in to sign for us permanently.

2. This meant that we were left with getting in loan players that both Tilly and Martin knew would not be around after January. Obviously with the exception of Christophe.

3. The introduction of loan players should be now, to strengthen a league position that should have been in or around the play-offs.

4. We now find ourselves not able to get either the quality of loan players that we had earlier or have bids accepted by either club or players to sign.

5. We knew the striker situation prior to todays game with Barnard possibly not being available, but we decide not to recall Furlong

The whole set up concerns me....

Sadly the players efforts havent been 100% all season, hence why we are where we are. All well running around a lot when youre 2-0 down at Ellan Road, but where was the effort against Yeovil, Huddersfield, Cheltenham, MK Dons, Oldham?

Have to agree with this... Saturday i got the impression some players just wasnt interested in what was happening.... been the case some other times this season when we have been losing like you said.

.

Yeah, he may will be, but as ive said on a previous thread, there is no room for sentiment in football. His record since we were champions is poor. Carlisle, Colchester both dismissed their managers after previous good records. They were below us when sacked, now they are above us. Orient had a great couple of years under Ling, bad start this year and gone. Forest won promotion last year, and after a bad start, Calderwood is gone. No other clubs care about past achievements, so why should we. Its the present and future we should be concerned about. The present is their for us all to see, and how can you be confident about the future with our current squad, even if all fit.
Its time for a change

I don't want us to be like Carlisle, Colchester, Orient or Forest.

I want us to try and build something permanent. I can't say when I look at any of them I think they're building anything worthwhile. I want us to be like Crewe were under Dario Gradi. Constantly punching above their weight, playing good football and producing player after player.

but TBH i watched the game at roots hall, when ling was still in charge, and the o's were crap. then i watched the game at brisbane road after ling had left and the o's were crap. if tilly went, then we might pick up for a few games trying to impress the new guy, but we'd be back to our usual crap self. no point in papering over cracks

you can not recall a player from loan inside the first 28 days

barnards not fit he shouldn't be on
bad decision
he will make it worse and we will only have theo left upfront

that was my point in the earlier post. if they keep playing like that how long does ron expect me and others to part with our hard earned dough?
if i was paying to watch 11 men run themselves into the ground and play as if this was their last ever game, and we got beat, then theres not a lot you can do. but if i'm paying to watch 11ish overpaid men run around a field looking pretty casual and not too bothered with te outcome, ten my money will stay in my pocket or it will be donated to the the till in the pub
