The deal is done and dusted the player in question had a medical and signed a 2 1/2 year deal today.

Fee around 75kish. He has a slight knock so wont travel tomorrow but will be in the squad for Barnsley on Friday.

The source is a good friend of mine and i hear Lee is very excited about the move.

He was ok against us when he turned out for Crewe and showed a few decent touches but they were pony.

A goal in the FA Cup on debut would go down in Legend! :)

At 75k I think people will give him a chance, even if only scores a goal every 5 say. I think that if it is 75k, there is more chance the fans wont get on his back and attack him, and now with TBV making a real impact, especially at away games, we can certainly give him a welcome there, he should feel welcomed, I hope.

Got a bit of trickery and pace about him and certainly knows where the net is..

I notice that there's still not been any "proper" announcement and no rumours on Sky or anywhere, so until it's revealed as a completed signing by the club, I'll refrain from making any comment, other than to say that I hope ANY player we sign is given a decent welcome at RH.

£75k is a decent price for him, any more then I fear the RH boo boys would be warming up their vocal chords ready for him to fail.

I'm not as concerned about this move as I was yesterday.
He's not going to be the answer to all our problems but hopefully he'll settle quickly and prove valuable to the setup!

Im surprised at the negativity on this one .

Whilst Im not blown away I really dont expect to be on any signing. We dont have the clout to get a top scoring big reputation striker.

Barnard has been touted on here for the last couple of years as a good prospect, admittedly he hasnt set the world alight on his loans but his record at reserve level for Spurs was good.

Who knows, now he has a permanent deal he may find his feet again.

Personally Im pleased we have someone who has at least shown potential at some point and look forward to seeing him play.

Think he was injured for both cup games that Crewe played in so won't be cup-tied.

I doubt that the club would be wise to announce the signing until every last detail has been done and the medical passed and any results that need waiting on are seen .

The club don't want to be shot down again on bad PR issues , but Barnard has signed and should be announced maybe later but if not then tommorrow.

I have spoke to a spurs fan of mine who believe's we have a great player on our hands and with Keane Defoe , bent and Berbatov he was never going to get a game no matter what he did in the reserves , but he says he has pace , can run at players , not afraid to get stuck in and can score with either foot and with his head , so i'm a bit mythed at to why all the negativaty about him ?????
