Quote[/b] ]Scott - I hope you said "Roycey mate, you know what the answer is... you should be back at Roots Hall."

Its interesting though matt he still lives in Hockley with wife and daughter a move to us would make sence but would there be others after him? plus he could come down the club for a bit more golf!

First of all the Royce familly now live in Hullbridge, i know this as Roycie's daughter is a good friend of mine, and when i asked her if her dad (Simon) would sign for us (Southend United) she said to me that, "He has a wife, kids and a family to look after and Southend probably won't be able to afford his current wages. (Which are a'lot)

Also it's nice name dropping but make sure you include all the facts he also has a son (v. good golfer)!

Why is it so good to name drop!

I hope Corbett & Warren giving new contract, Warren was our best player when he play - I remeber his last ditch tackle to pervent Darlington going 3-1 when they are on break before Connie score the pen to make it 2-2.

Has Warren played agasint Northamton, Yeovil & Torquay, we might got at least 7 points from these game.

As for Corbett, we all know what he can do - when he fit he give us an extra attack - play either wings and up front, a useful player in our squad.

Its be the first time I feel that upset since Ronnie "******" Whelan release Tilson in summer 1997.

afternoon all,

still hungover but still buzzing from last night.I think Naps covered quite a few points but here are some more -

Leon Conny - calls everyone 'bruv'

Jamie Stuart - absolute top bloke, bought each other drinks and swapped mobile numbers

Corbett - Barry Harris' new best mate

Wozza - lives in Wakering

Che Wilson - the most chatty, down to earth player you'll ever meet.Spent most of the night leaning on the bar with him eyeing up the ladies.

Gower - when they showed him getting sent off at Swansea, he shouted 'stop laughing you bastards, that cost me 500 f**king quid!'

more to follow......

I think Tilly and Brush are great at building team spirit and for this they will want certain types of players

non-triers and semi-talented time-wasters in the team. .
Does this mean Bramble is a gonner then?!
rock.gif
Depends whether Tilly/Brush still think they can get his career moving in the right direction. Personally I think he's got more than enough talent but getting the best out of him more than one game in five seems too difficult to make it worth having yet another go at sorting him out.

Wouldn't be surprised on balance if his name was "circulated amongst other clubs" to use the old cliche.

another bit has just come back to me

When Brush came down to the front to speak we were all singing "We Hate....Orient" Brush started conducting the crowd

Tilly spoke for about 3 minutes and said "Like I Say" About 5 times

I believe that's known as Newmanitis, a troublesome condition...

tounge.gif

He learnt that from Newman.

Brushy also said he's going to teach Tilly more phrases to use other than "work their socks off".

sounds like the team are getting on very weel ad it is good to see.

Jamie Stuart was very drunk by the sounds of it and apparently Husbands just thinks he will not get a new contract.

Why don't we offer Wozza a new contract he needs next season with Corty and I think they will be a great pairing.

Why did Maher not go out?

As for his wages he used to earn over 1500 a week because he told the club he wanted to be the top earner he has ssince re-negotiated but I don't know what for it is rare the contract will offer him less money unless he still has the captain clause
