Just go away will you!

we all know you are a secret agent trying to obtain information to tout these three to Orient!

Do you know what Confidential means and do you discuss your salary with Joe Public?

Very cryptic...

Scott - I hope you said "Roycey mate, you know what the answer is... you should be back at Roots Hall."

yes yes yes napster but who's this 32 year old bloke we're after

damon Searle 32 isn't he?

BTW great news about Dean

I would have thought that most players at the club are on around £7-800 a week with bonuses thrown in. But super kev is probably on about £1200 with bonuses thrown in. I reckon he is the highest and imho quite rightly so!!!

Rain-man: how can I give you a figure when I haven't got the foggiest about the club's finances - in terms of how much they've got now, and how much they think they'll get over the next two years?

Any figures that I came up with would, therefore, be utterly meaningless.

Don't forget, however, that the 60% of turnover wage-cap will be in place next season. Clearly, therefore, we've got a smaller wage-budget than the likes of Yeovil, Huddersfield, Notts County, Swansea, Bristol Rovers and the like.

But we've probably got a bigger wage budget than most in the division, especially given our LDV exploits. So our wage budget should be pretty competitive by Div 3 standards, I hope.

Crucially, we should be able to offer more than either Orient or Cambridge - our nearest rivals geographically - since we've had half as many fans again passing through the turnstiles than either of those, and will continue to do so next year (whilst Orient's gates will shrink, given their ground redevelopment).

So, the offers should be good; however, if they're in excess of £2K per week I'd be extremely surprised - since few clubs at our level can afford that... nor should they be able to (with the wage cap), frankly.

Its interesting though matt he still lives in Hockley with wife and daughter a move to us would make sence but would there be others after him? plus he could come down the club for a bit more golf!

Alas, Scott... I imagine that, at the end of the day, it'll all come down to wages. Charlton probably pay him 8-10 times as much as we could afford - and it's why I doubt he'll be at the Hall next season.

Matt

Oh and I told Drewe about Henriksen being released and he was quite suprised- he thinks next season he (Drewe) will get more credit for his work up front...
