Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

Galloway won't be allowed to join the Labour Party. These are different times with different needs to the Foot era so a Labour Party based on its core principals may well connect more with the voting public than in the Foot era - certainly a lot of enthusiasm has been generated in the last few weeks.

Really, I'm not so sure, Corbyn has already said the door could be opened for Hatton to come in from the cold so why not Galloway? He's going to be closer to his way of thinking than the likes of Kendall, Hunt, Jarvis, Umunna and Yvette Cooper to name just a few. It would make sense if he is going to lead to have like minded people around him.

***, you have my utmost admiration at the measured and sensible posts you offer on here in the face of fatuous nearly humour and vitriol that rolls out of some posters keyboards. I can't imagine that any of them would ever vote Labour, in fact I suspect some never vote at all.

It is interesting their headline is that Labour will never win an election with JC at the helm. This may be true but why do some get so worked up if they don't want that outcome anyway?

This is a forum for all. If you don't approve of non Labour supporters commenting on it then go and whine to the mods. I have a interest in politics - that's why I started the thread.
Oh, and by the way, I did once vote for Frank Dobson in the first London Mayor election thingy in an attempt to stop the newt getting elected.

Wow, just wow. I was commenting to ***, without quoting anyone's posts. Good that you voted by the way.

Galloway was on LBC last week and said that as he was expelled from the Labour Party so couldn't rejoin unless they change certain party rules. Reading between the lines, I think he would be interested if Corbyn wins but only if he is asked. I think he is after a apology.

The sad thing about this voting lark is two fold, as a labour man fully paid up member I voted JC, because I, not the country believe he is the right man, however the voting maybe seen as dishonest by many

But the real sad things is the credability of those who maybe be Tories/LibDem/ Journalist cats who have signed up to cause maximum disruption, this clearly highlights these people have no principles in true democracy
These so called "labour voters" are lower than a snakes belly and must have a pitiful life if the best they can do with their time, is try and stop a democratic vote with party members

Before you right wingers bang on about me being a leftie, I own my own house, earn way above the national average wage, drive a wonderful German made car and enjoy my life, however I strongerly believe in housing to those that cannot afford buying, free hospital treatment to all, and decent schooling for every child and assististance for those that struggle, they are many others but too many to bang on about, and if I have to pay extra tax to help those less fortunate so be it
I'm lucky to be born in England, and if I was running from a country wanting to take it away of course a I would go to another country and if that was England so be it, personally would prefer talking to an intelligent immigrant than an ignorant Englishman like Farage and DaveCam pretend to be thinking like the working class brigade

You can be LEFT WING and still have money, property etc (look at Tony Benn), the problem facing the UK and most of europe is that we / they do not have the infrastructure to deal with the large numbers that are claiming asylum also if they are illegal we / they should not entertain them.

Maybe so, but not a lot to do with the next leader of the Labour Party.

Maybe so, I was responding to Blueronron post (please read that), next Labour Leader not really my concern as I am not a member of the party, my only influence will be in the gen elections

It appears that the smear campaign against Corbyn is heading into even more squalid waters. > http://newsthump.com/2015/08/26/cor...orced-to-****-in-own-pants-claims-daily-mail/ - whoops, looks like the link has lead to a dead end now but this is what it said:-

"The Daily Mail has published the ‘first 1000 days of Jeremy Corbyn as PM’ that sees a post-apocalyptic nation in which people are forced to **** in their own pants after the failure of nationalised toilets.
In this future world dogs are having full sex with cats while mice watch, and a gigantic crack in the Earth’s crust has formed from Devon to the Lake District.
The story begins with Corbyn becoming PM in 2020 and immediately decreeing that everyone wears overalls and calls each other comrade.
The BBC immediately falls into line because that’s full of communists anyway, and BBC2 begins playing Red Wedge concerts and Chumbawumba videos on rotation.
After the first year, everything has been renationalised including toilets, chips and humming.
All of which immediately stop working (because that’s what definitely happens to anything that is returned to public ownership).
During the second year, President Trump stops talking to the UK because he’s heard that a Mexican lives there and Corbyn is forced to ally with Kim Jong-Un which sees the UK renamed ‘North North Korea.’
North North Korea then legalises inter-species sex after pressure from the influential communist dog lobby.
Finally God appears and rents North North Korea asunder for not agreeing with the Daily Mail.
Somewhere in the middle, it points out that Jeremy Corbyn is married to his third wife because that sort of thing is a big deal to the Daily Mail.
The story has been dismissed as one of the single most absurd things ever printed by everyone, except Tony Blair.
“Sounds about right,” he said.

I'm really happy that you enjoy driving your Wartburg. I firmly agree that we should help the helpless, but Labour (and the Tories) seem hellbent on helping the feckless as well.

Thought they'd stopped taking bets on JC?

One bookies has already paid out on bets for him haven't they ? :smiles:

Paddy Power. Still think it will be closer than most predict and expect Burnham to creep in on second votes - a bit like John Major all those years ago. I've said Burnham from the start.

Only if it goes to a second ballot.

Last opinion poll I saw had JC ahead on 53%,which would of course mean that he'd be elected as leader on the first ballot.

Edit.According to the "Bible" JC is still tipped to win as voting closes.
