Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

How many damn times does it have to be said?

A 15% fall in new car sales in France alone and an overall 20% fall across Europe.

And this.................

Honda Statement

IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH BREXIT. It's a global problem and sure as hell won't be the last major closure because of it.

I'm sorry GBJ its not self inflicted, the party has gained on Tories, the last GE showed that

The Tories were (are) incompetent, and more wrapped up in their own civil war. And yet the best Jez’s ensemble could do, was gain.

Are you a Labour Supporter, or Corbyn Supporter? I.e. hypothetically if Corbyn left the Labour Party & firmed his own new Party, would you follow, or stick.

Because I get it, Corbyn is a liked figure. Personally, I despise the man. But at least I can be balanced enough to see that he’s marmite. He has got supporters. But the majority of the public feel like me. That’s why he won’t get elected. Especially not with his current, detestable cabinet. That’s about as nailed on as could be.

He doesn't back a second referendum, which I'm pleased as it would make the democracy of this country a joke, whether you voted Go and regret because the lies from the Battle bus, thats something you have to live with

Of course he doesn’t, he wants out of the EU as much as any Brexiteer. Which is odd, considering most of his supporters on here, are remainers. I’ve never managed to suss that one out.

I do not know both sides of anti- semitic, but if true it needs to be dealt with from inside, every Labour paying member believes it that

IIRC weren’t there 600-odd complaints of anti-Semitic behaviour in the Labour Party? I mean if 6 complaints were made, you’d expect the Party Leader to do something about it, but 600? It doesn’t really give the impression of someone who’s keen to tackle it. Certainly not swiftly.

As for allotment, think the old joke is wearing thin

It wasn’t a joke? He genuinely was at his allotment.

Al this has done is let bad news go away, ie Honda and Swindon closure and only 10 days to UK future on Brexit, Tories must be counting down the clock

A competent leader would have picked up on this, and used it to deflect attention from his party.

But, you know, Spring is coming, and that soil on his allotment isn’t gunna dig itself.

Sales are also dropping in the Far East, with uncertainty over the future regarding Electric Cars against Petrol/Diesel engines.

Also worth noting that Honda are the 19th biggest selling manufacturer in a Europe....

...Out of 20.

Of course, the topic of Brexit is a cheap and handy way to save face;

Honda; We’re moving because we don’t know how the market is moving, it’s too unpredictable & It would appear that people don’t want our **** cars anymore.

OR

Honda; We’re moving because Brexit

And yet in 2016 Japan warned that this is exactly how things would play out if Britain left the single market

G20 Summit: Japan warns it will take banks and car makers out of UK - unless it gets Brexit trade deal

That seems to be the answer. I do remember hearing from both Shinzo Abe and Theresa May, when Abe visited London recently, that this is planned. As such, this particular issue seems to be a non-issue. There will be a trade deal between the UK and Japan in place by the end of the transition period in 2020.

We don't know if there will be a transition period yet let alone the terms of any future trade deal between UK and Japan.

This makes it incredibly difficult to plan for business and just illustrates how out of touch those in government are with the needs of business.

With regards to the motor industry, especially in this Country, I think proclaiming Diesel cars as the future, and then doing a complete 180 on that theory has destabilised it more than Brexit.

Yes, but it's not like they are stopping manufacturing cars completely. When they have to reassess what factories to invest in the addition of an extra 10% cost, the threat to supply chains, the uncertainty of it all it then it makes the decision to invest in a non-UK factory over a UK factory an easy decision.

This is what was warned. This is what is happening.

OMG.....Honda themselves have categorically stated it has nothing to do with Brexit and yet here we are with some still blaming it. Have you actually read the full statement by Honda?

I know lets play a game. Who can be first to find a news story that fits their particular mind set and thinking. Ready..........................................................................GO!

The ‘Investing in factories’ is a fallacy. That would have happened regardless of Brexit. The truth is, the existing business models have been completely torn up & had to be restructured.

The future for most car companies, is reducing the production of diesel cars, and chucking everything into electric cars.

As I said, most companies business model, operates on a very long timeline, (Honda’s was/is 10 yearly)

These companies are going into turmoil now, because the factories they have, aren’t adequate to produce electric cars, on a long term timeline.

So even without Brexit, this issue would still have occurred.

Granted, Brexit isn’t helping the situation, due to the uncertainty, but it’s not the cause and effect of the automotive industry having to undertake these measures.

Using Brexit uncertainty, is just an easy excuse for these companies. A lot easier than admitting that they’ve had to rip up their long term plans & start again.

Proud Labour supporter for over 40 years and yes I like Jeremy Corbyn as a leader, like many he has faults, I have never said he hasn't, but as a person I believe he is the right person to lead the country

Now many loved Maggie, but to me she was a woman that I hope suffered in her final days, as many did under her hatred of working class people, and please don't bring in council houses were bought to help people

Its horses for courses politics, you choose the party you believe in and hope the leader canbe of the same ilk as your beliefs

So if Corbyn hypothetically fractured off & formed his own party, would your allegiances follow, or stick with The Labour Party?

If I felt the original idea of Labour was not as I believe ,and JC kept to the ways of my beliefs then yes I would follow JC
However if JC was to leave and the labour party remained as my mind set then obviously would stay with current labour
Its a hard thing to call GBJ, because my trade union days are long gone, but still held in high regard with years at SOGAT in the print industry, seeing Wapping being charged at by mounted police on strikers, and the far far left scum that was there to cause trouble running like chickens, leaving us to face the batons

Do I feel the far far left is taking over today's party no I don't, if I did then my views would change, communist is a lot different to Socialism

It’s strange to me, because my interpretation of the current party, is one of a far left stance.

And Corbyn is a representative of that.

In fairness, it’s normally self-inflicted.

The Party is a joke.

What was the illustrious leader doing yesterday, whilst his rebellious backbenchers were causing a media storm?

Yes, that’s right, he was tending to his allotment.

Corbyn issued a statement to members by email and issued a statement on Twitter so I think we can be 99% sure that he issued a press release too (and if he didn’t the media are happy to report statements issued through twitter.

Because something isn’t reported don’t assume it hasn’t happened. BBC news programs were airing statements from all 7 defectors but failed to mention the Angela Smith racism row that happened 20 mins after the ‘launch’ press conference and happened live on a BBC program. Social media has been all over the ‘funny tinge’ but the BBC decided not to report that news even though they owned the footage.

There is a lot that we are not specifically told about, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
