Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

Haha yep.

If old Pete can shut him up imagine what Trump and Putin would do.

Granted that Labour are currently 16 % points below the Tories in the opinion polls. However, given that the Tories will be openly at civil war from next year over Europe that gap is bound to close.

Peter Tatchell outplayed Jezza whilst the ghastly Chakrabati pulls Jezza's strings.Does she run the party,I wonder.

whatamess.
Is that what you think?
Tatchell turned up at a Labour press conference and burst in for his protest. Corbyn fairly unrattled and just advised Tatchell it was the wrong place and wrong time, then graciously issued a statement afterwards agreeing with what Tatchell had to say (but reiterating that it was not the right time or place). Corbyn spoke to Chakribati and then confirmed that everything Tatchell was saying had already been said by Labour in Parliament.

I'm curious about your reaction to this so can I ask:

What makes you call Shami Chakribarti ghastly?

How do you think Corbyn should have reacted to the protest?

As a woman - when the leader of the opposition is making a speech about women's rights - do you think that is the right time for a protest about an unrelated subject?

Bearing in mind that Labour policy matches what Tatchell was advocating do you not think he would have been better aiming his protest at a government press conference?

Do you think he maybe aimed it at Corbyn as the media are more likely to cover a protest if it can be seen to paint Corbyn in a bad light?

You mean baroness whitewash.

Calling people silly names, is not really the same as providing a case for what you think about her and backing it up with some opinions or even facts,is it?

Its a name, but not a silly one. Baroness Whitewash tells you my opinion of the Labour inquiry, some would say its a fact.

Now can you remind me of the name you called the new UKIP leader. :winking:

Don't think I've called him any particular name ,though I've always referred to the previous leader as NF.

Mea culpa.Come to think of it,you're right Rigsby.I called him "nutty Nuttall," didn't I ? I do beg your humble. It was clearly a throwaway line.

Sadly I don't think it will catch on.Nor will yours.:winking:

Corbyn acted like an idiot instead of being statesmanlike....he ordered Peter to stop and was duly ignored...then Chak whispered to Jezza(clearly caught on mike)"let them continue"....Jezza went silent before asking I think it was dotty Emily "have we a policy " or words to that effect.

Honestly *** it was unpolished undignified and looked shocking.

That woman I hate with a passion...human rights monster.

so he told Tatchell to stop and Tatchell carried on - how should he have reacted to that?

Chak is a human rights nutter regardless of any crime committed.

Corbyn's aids should have made sure that "Peter the protester" was not there or the very least not allow their placards, how did they smuggle those in?....Corbyn should have walked off .

Not fussed about his speech because anything Jezza says it meaningless because he will never gain power.

Tatchel is an idiot,if he was locked in a room by himself he would still cause an argument.

The bad press JC has is because he is terrible as leader, the media stitch him up because Jezza is so ineffective,Mrs May is a buffoon yet every PM's questions Jezza barely lands a blow.

A human rights nutter? Personally I would see her as someone who holds politicians and the press to account. Human rights is a strange thing in that in its very essence it is something everyone should hold dear but it has been twisted into a sign of weakness. Very odd.

Agreed the protestors shouldn't have been allowed in. But Corbyn is not shadowed by security or police, it's just him and whoever he has taken with him.

If he had walked off as you suggest I'm sure you would have seen that as running away. The fact that he didn't, allowed Tatchell to get it out of his system then carried on with what he was there to do is in my mind more statesman like than walking off.

I don't know if you watch PMQs or just read about it in the Murdoch media but it is commonly accepted by political analysts (inc those who have to say it through gritted teeth) that Corbyn out flanks May week in week out. So I'm not sure what you are watching (more likely reading).

If Corbyn is so ineffective I don't see why the media would need to stitch him up, surely if he is that bad they should report his words and actions accurately and that would be enough. For some reason that isn't deemed enough so, yes - they feel the need to stitch him up.

And really what the leader of the opposition says is not meaningless, it's essential. Labour were accused of not providing real opposition (while the leadership contest was on that was valid) but that is no longer legitimate. The government has been forced into u turn after u turn and just this week to force May into promising to reveal her EU Exit plan - that is very significant.

As a woman, I would advise not dismissing what is said by the leader of the opposition on women's rights as though large sections of the media don't like to admit it, he is effecting government policy - so you may benefit from what he has to say.

A clipped is hardly putting him to the sword is it and sometimes a firm stance is needed imvho.[/QUOTE

I can just imagine the headlines now.:omg:

(Sometimes I wonder what world you live in).

Would the whole farce had happened with any other leader,no.
Trump chuck,ed out in secounds
may,no
Hollande, deffo not.Merkel hell no but with jezza just standing there looking lost speaks louder then words,

As for what world i live in well i live in la la land, when i first moved to France we wereing up when the teacher entered so the teacher yanked him out of the chair out shopping and three kids stole some shoes from a shop and were being chased.
one was caught and the other two were caught soon after, the police man at the scene whacked the kid round the head many times which i felt was the right thing at the time to do.
One time in class my son was slow in getting up when the teacher enterd the class so the teacher yanked him up marking his arms with his vest due to the roughness, did i complain like a biatch no i told my son to get up quicker and he agreed.
Thats the world i live in and where i come from we like to call it the real world..
Your boyfriend has no respect. No as such is not a leader but you carry on living in your world old son,im just glad its not my world.

protesters get beaten up at Trump rallies so I'd suggest we don't go down that road.
The other two are leaders of their country, they will be flanked by security.

He didn't stand looking lost, he said 'Peter, there is time for questions at the end'. He knows the guy, he's not going to lump him. The protest was saying things that the Labour Party have said in Parliament. It was a poorly thought out publicity stunt and anyone who has looked at the detail thinks less of Tatchell because of this.
