Had Tilly played Foran up front rather than on the wing, things may have been different
 
Frank nouble has been released by the gills and was at the game yesterday. Even posted coxys post goal celebrations on his twitter.

Don't know much about him other than he was at the hammers. Very low goalscoring record though. Sonething like 28 goals in a 160 games. Most were in higher leagues though.

I wouldn't mind us taking a punt on Carlton Cole until the end of the season.
 
Akinde at Barnet is someone who I feel we could get! It looks like Watkins at Eveter and Bogle from Grimsby are off to Championship clubs so they are out of the question!

I'm ever hopeful we could pull this transfer off. With the Bentley tribunal money coming our way a fee in the region of £200k shouldn't be out of our reach. He would suit our style of play perfectly. Akinde is playing the best football of his career right now.

I agree with the above and both you and I were recommending him in 2008, when he looked very promising as a product of Ebbsfleets youth system. I watched him a few times and as a fairly local "gem" hoped we would come in for him. Bristol City did in the end and he was a firm favourite with them. Surprised to see him tail off a bit to Barnet, but would be a great acquisition now. thats if we did lower league gems and spent some money, but we have tended not to follow the Peterborough model for some time?

Someone said yesterday that, as a result of it being an FA suspension then he'd not be allowed to be at or involved in any football related activity. Don't know if that's right or not.

Yes, I remember that now. Interestingly, I had no idea before checking just now that Akinde actually dropped as low down as playing for Alfreton Town in 2013/14. He scored 18 goals in 40 odd games before being picked up by Barnet the following season. To date, he has scored 70 goals in 118 games for Barnet. An impressive strike rate at any level.
 
Frank Nouble was at the game on Saturday against Rochdale. He recently left Gillingham, I think there's a possibility that he might be coming here. He is the type of player that Brown likes. He has also recently started following Cox and McGlashan on Twitter.
