I think Cassidy would be worth a punt, he seems to drag opposition defenders all over th place and always gives 100% effort. If he just had that stroke of luck in the box once he got one goal I think he would be a real asset to the the team. If there is any weekend I want him to score his first goal, it's defiantly this one.

Do we really think a player of Jake Cassidy's credibility would have any difficulty in securing a club ?
He has done an incredible job at Southend - yes he could have scored a few goals, however his overall game has secured space for other players to score goals

Thanks for that - another example of you bending facts. That isn't what you did as you well know . He hasnt played 86 games in the last 3 seasons and he didn't score 5 goals. He played 109 and scored 16. As you say alll of the data is on soccer base. You manipulated the figures by going back to the game AFTER when he last scored in 2012/2013 season . You choose to 'ignore' the start of the same season season when he scored 11 from 22. funny that.
You have a decent argument that he doesn't score enough, but it would carry a lot more weight if you didn't constantly manipulate facts to suit your argument . Again you haven't mentioned about him playing for poor teams like you did for Williams- again funny that

The problem is we are a league two side without any money.
We aren't going to attract any in form strikers, you have to look at players who you can turn into a star instead.
Casssidy has some history of goalscoring so there was potential there, even if it hasnt been realised with us and may not in the future. I personally wouldn't be blown away by signing him, but in reality what striker would we be blown away by that we could actually bring in?
Being in League One would of course raise or profile somewhat.
This is exactly right. Realistically we will end up with a clear out of strikers this summer again, and be left with just Barry (if he signs a new deal) and Jason Williams who is yet to prove himself, Cassidy would be an excellent squad player at L2 level, and I'd like us to bring in another pacey striker if possible but would be keen to get Cassidy signed up.
If we do go up, I agree with many that at League 1 level we could probably do better. His goal scoring record isn't prolific and we could attract a better class of players and I hope that is what we would do.
I can see us stalling making a move to see where we will be next season and that could be damaging if Cassidy already has other offers coming in, which is likely to be the case.

Indeed, I'm not sure whether Cassidy will have anyone else lined up. He hasn't really set the world on fire here although i do think once he scores one the flood gates will happen but that is a gamble and will be all depend on where we are next season.

Here are the facts I stated which are facts that you or nobody else can argue with,these facts have not been manipulated in any way they are simply facts.
I stated he had scored 6 from his last 87 appearances,note I used the word LAST.That is a fact !
Jam implied it would be better using his starts only...so I did resulting in his last 67 starts he has scored 6 goals,note the word last again,this is another fact.
