IMO Barna has scored a huge OG on this thread BUT I don't believe he recognised that when he was going for a quick low shot.
I also believe that it is "good" for understanding and discussion for the views from far left of field to be on here when much what is posted is definitely right of centre.
Lots of posts are designed, by intent or fluke, as "fishing trips" that do spark debate; and I welcome them while acknowledging them for what they are: especially when footie stuff is in short supply.

I don't endorse what Barna says - his politics don't match mine, though there is some crossover and his methods don't match mine.


But I think your reaction is OTT - calling him a four letter word that begins with a c (and you know that when you write **** it is shown as **** which was t enough for you as you wanted to make sure everyone knew which insult you were using) and calling for a ban is in my mind an overreaction.


He has shown his disapproval of immigrants having their valuables taken from them and exaggerated the point by pointing out the Nazis removed gold teeth. Heavy handed way of making your point but calling him a **** and asking for a ban - not necessary in my mind.


I'm more offended by the person on here who thinks that Syrians can't be classed as refugees as 'only' 100,000 of the 250,000 dead in Syria so far were civilians. That to me is a disgusting way of thinking. At that point I didn't see anything to be gained from carrying on the discussion.

The immigration "story" will run and run as it has since before the Romans!
Powell's speech must be over 50 years ago and is still being quoted/talked about by many - if not by hand wringing politicos.
The shame, embarrassment, waste of all the history and understanding of human tribalism/society modifications/intergrations is that the PC brigade are too scared, blinkered, and often weak to garner the lessons from it, discuss and acknowledge that it exists as a basic, common social norm in many people: AND then can start to make informed decisions and strategies based on more of the likely results of the probable issues rather than hoping, wishing, dreaming and pretending that they aren't going to happen AND thus cause more self perpetuating problems.

I didn't want everyone to know what I was calling him. I wanted him to know. It's that simple. And as I'm sure your aware c o c k also starts with a C and the * can be typed by hand. Example c*** .... c o c k....Not necessarily the word you were eluding to. ;)

PS, perhaps asking for a ban is a touch OTT but believe me the offense I took from his Nazi reference, for reasons I don't wish to go into, wasn't.

Stay and fight for their freedom and future well being
Go to one of the many safe camps
Go to tent city
Go to closer Muslim countries

Instead they would rather risk drowning to get into Europe where the state handouts will give them far more cash than working back in their homeland,that is the truth because if Europe and GB never gave nothing,then they would not come here or Europe.

They would have been far better going to another Muslim country where the EU could throw money at the situation to feed and clothe them,instead Turkey received several billion for doing nothing,the people smugglers have raked in 4 billion,the EU already have 20 million unemployed,it's lunacy of the highest order.

I was interested to see Labour's Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell interviewed earlier on the Sunday Politics.

He pointed out that because of globalisation,poverty. wars etc open borders were an inevitability by the end of this century.

Mass migration from Syria,Afghanistan etc needs to be seen in this context.
