Immigration

Excellent post.

The rich stay rich & the poor stay poor... If you allow it

That's market driven, right wing capitalism for you, and we as a country have been in thrall of it for over 30 years. Socialism is always seen as a dirty word, but that's the very movement that took our ancestors from working like slaves, helped bring about education for all and gave us the NHS.

Ok. Let's see if we can reach a middle ground. We both agree that better working rights & practices should be implemented & upheld. We sort of both agree that the rich, market driven, right (aswel as left wing) fat cats are to blame for the current setup. Tell me how uncontrolled, and unskilled immigration helps resolve the situation?

Immigrants (even the low skilled) pay taxes (at a ratio of 7:1 in regards to those who claim benefits I believe was the figure). They buy things which acrues more taxes and helps out GB PLC. The children of unskilled immigrants could turn out to be teachers/doctors/nurses/firemen etc etc etc.

Tell me how you plan to force the indiginous people of the UK to take up the roles that Brexit wants to stop?

A lot of the low skilled immigrants work cash in hand. Believing they all pay tax is naive at best. On top of that, a lot of immigrants are happy to share properties, in order to reduce living costs, whilst sending money to family back in their country of origin. I have witnessed these things first hand, from people I have known. It's a little anecdotal I admit, but simply pretending it doesn't happen, on the scale it does, is again, naive at best. I must add though, I don't blame them at all. If I was in their shoes, I'd do the same.

Of course their children could becomes teachers, doctors & nurses, but they'd just find themselves in the same situation as the current indeginous folk. If you create an endless conveyor belt of people who are willing to do that job for that money, and work in those conditions, you're never going to break the cycle, it's just strengthening the position of the rich, to employ people for low wages, and force them to work in poor conditions. The idea is to make it better for those professions (along with many many others). Not add to the massive numbers of people who are currently struggling & suffering. I can't see any other way to do that, without putting the power back into workers hands. And to do that, you'd need to end the constant supply of cheap/willing labour.

That's how you get the indigenous people to take up those roles. By paying them fairly & treating them like human beings.

I must stress though, I don't begrudge foreigners looking for a better life for themselves & their family. I would certainly do the same if I had to. It's the money men at the top of the pyramid who are to blame. And whilst we sit here trading blows over what's right & wrong, they look down on us laughing.

Nope he's totally wrong.

Brexit will see a huge drop in numbers. In fact numbers are already dropping because we have voted to leave. If we need to lower non EU immigration then we will vote for a party that will. So that rules out Labour as JC believes we should increase immigration.

Who's "we" exactly? The BNP?

No mainstream party will even consider it. This country would collapse without it
.

MKS is right you know.
