Supporters Group News Ideas for further protests.

Might be worth a little chat with SBC, I think they are owed money and might be interested in putting on a coach, say, from Benfleet station to drop off chez Ron and then return a few hours later? Even if people pay £5 a go and fill the coach, it would probably be close to covering the cost?
If only there was a fund in place that could help with the costs.

I am aware that fund raising has been done, but there have also been some hefty outlays. Asking people to stick a fiver in a pot for a lift from Benfleet station (or wherever) to Hollytree House and back again shouldn't be too much to ask.

I have asked the question how has that money be spent on the relevant thread, seems like £1k gets you a few rats and a silent protest. It’s a fair question to ask when we could have some cash left over for that advertising board idea or others

It might help if people knew what the hefty outlays were for then as all people on the outside have seen is some plastic rats and a free walk from the pier.

@WestStandBlue & @defender05 well, I'm not party to the details, but just looking at the cost of used tennis balls, I can see 30 for approx. £14 - if I remember correctly, there were 400 balls so that's nearly £200. The rats were probably similar. Then there are banners that have been printed and hundreds of posters - while some of that may have been been free of charge, it won't all have been.

Maybe someone else can shed some light @Cricko @Medway Blue @hlane17 @jphfitz ?

You should have been In charge of procurement we would have had this sorted … one day when all this has settled you may well get an indication of how the money was spent and to what lengths of activity has been carried out and implemented you are obviously trying to imply that someone’s having a day out on the donation … you couldn’t be further from the true , even funnier that you would know who the protest group really are if you cued up next to the for a burger .

Do you think hundreds or tennis balls, rats, floats, placards and other bits and pieces come to less than £700 nicker?.

What advertising board were you thinking of for a grand then regent street or Harrods?.

Not at all, fair question to ask how people’s money has been spent. Bit of transparency?

It’s not like we don’t ask Ron Martin that everyday.

Who remembers the play off hammering we took at Doncaster(?) many years ago? and our magnificent fans doing the conga and singing the likes of "we are going to win 5-6" stuff.
My suggestion is to make next home game a celebration protest, balloons, streamers, flags, party hats, old club shirts etc.......and get conga going into the north Bank etc.
Could make good news and TV publicity.
We have done angry and menaces, Ron isn't at games so while the in game stuff has been well done, how about a positive spin which could notch it up, and get any reluctant persons involved? Maybe the DBox too.
It might help the team a bit also?

Good idea, but probably the result of Tuesdays court case by npower or whether any positive news has been relayed re Weds court case, will determine the mood in Roots Hall?.
