Supporters Group News Ideas for further protests.

I think if we don’t hear good news by next Saturday. (Sounds like there’s a slim chance there may be) we then need to take a full scale mass protest back to Hollytree House. The previous big one there in pre season saw a decent turnout but we need to cause mayhem for his family & neighbours in more numbers. If we could have 4/500 people on Saturday at 3pm causing a nuisance that would cause chaos.
what about those of us travelling to Rochdale???

Citizen Housing are behind the FF housing scheme

The 50% partner is Alexander Dellal who is a director of quite a few other property companies

Allied commercial were involved in the very dubious demise of BHS

The bulk of the businesses appear to operate overseas though

Whatever we do next needs to have max impact on Ron, either through public embarrassment or aggravation to him and his family. Chucking stuff on the pitch had it's time and place, but we have moved on now. The mass protest got enough main stream publicity to maybe be the catalyst for the talks Ron had, so we need something else big and noisy. My choice would be big numbers at Benfleet Hill and orchestrated chaos as a result with press/media attendance an absolute must.

Let's really **** this ****er off once and for all.

Amen. Saturday is only good if we follow it up with something similar in scale.

Totally agree.

However, even if the supporters groups called for a full scale march/protest down Benfleet Road, I suspect about 50 people would turn up, at best. We need big numbers, like we had on Saturday, but it just wont happen.

For whatever reason, it doesn't seem a popular form of protest amongst our fanbase, unfortunately. Saturday ticked a lot of boxes to make it possible for big numbers. It was easy to get to, it wasn't seen as an "inconvenience", people were in the area for the game anyway etc. Benfleet road doesn't tick those boxes, plus some obviously don't feel comfortable visiting the rats abode.

It literally needs to be on the proverbial plate, for this fanbase to step up and protest in big numbers.

For me, it would take 2 buses and a good 20 minute walk to get to his house.

It was a struggle to do the protest walk Saturday -- my legs are still playing me up today.

Being old is crap.

Yep and exactly my point mate. Benfleet Road is I think seen as a bit of a mission to get to, for a lot of our fanbase.

I think there's more appetite now than ever, but there seems to be an aversion to making this whole ordeal personal. That much is clear from the results of fan surveys.

It's quite personal IMO when we probably all know someone affected by the chairman's actions, whether that be a fan who is struggling to cope, staff that have been unpaid, suppliers that have been mugged, businesses that would struggle should the club die, etc.

I get for some people it's simply not easy to get to Benfleet Road, or people don't have the time (I don't go as regularly as some fans have)

I'd love to see one big show of unity on his doorstep before doomsday but will there be enough people? If we do go ahead with one, I'll drop whatever I have to in order to be there.

Sadly you could be right. Me and her have done 4 stints up there now and the numbers have never been prolific.

I would never suggest anything that is in any way illegal for Ron Manor, but it would be ironic if one of those 'don't give a monkey's' builders fly tipped a load in that area.

Absolutely mate and with you on that. But, how do the supporter groups make that as easy as possible for the fanbase?

Public transport is difficult:

Train, not an option unless you want to die walking up Essex Way!

Bus, bit of a faff.

Car, about the only real option but requires parking a small distance away and walking the rest. What if you don't drive, how do the younger element attend?

Bottom line is, if the rats abode was on Victoria Avenue, there would be 1,000+ there every home game. It comes down to can you physically get there without too much effort and also unfortunately, can you be bothered.

Exactly mate. It is a shame. But, short of the Trust sticking on a load of coaches for it. I just don't see how it will ever get the numbers it should.

Perhaps some fans could pick others up. I'd be happy to pick people up from Wickford/Rayleigh considering that's where I live.

Alternatively, do we know any travel companies with minibuses, taxis, coaches who would be willing to help?
