How to watch Southend United on National League TV

I honestly think the the National League will cover all the league games live unless any club cannot provide provide the necessary camera facilities. To do otherwise would be a giant step backwards after last season.
Now they have a new streaming partner, all we lack is a pricing strategy and bearing in mind a game cost £9.50, I would not expect too much of a price hike or it will scare us natives off. I reckon this week will see movement of the next steps for them, as, if they intend to sell annual packages they need to hurry up.

By the way, I had to completely re-register with them for those moments when I visit @Cricko's French luxurious deluxe beach hut during the season.

He has tried to paint it in Club colours, honest!

DAZN replaces TNT Sports as the league’s domestic broadcast partner and will absorb its National League TV global direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming service, which launched in December 2022. All 557 fifth-tier National League matches will be streamed to international audiences, with selected games from the sixth-tier National League South and National League North available.

In the UK, only selected matches will be broadcast live due to the Football Association (FA) imposed 3pm blackout, which prevents live soccer from being shown on British television between 2:45pm and 3:15pm on Saturday afternoons

The National League are delighted to announce a new long-term partnership with DAZN, Europe’s largest sports broadcaster.

The seven-year agreement will begin in August, showcasing the competition across more than 200 countries globally and bringing with it a whole new audience.

The arrangement with the British company will include both broadcast and streaming rights across the DAZN network around the world for the benefit of all 72 member clubs.

The agreement with DAZN will run until 2031 and will enable National League matches to be accessed across all platforms including desktop, smart TVs, IOS, Android, SKY Q, Virgin Media, Apple.tv, Amazon Firestick and even games consoles.

General Manager Mark Ives says, “We are incredibly excited about this groundbreaking long term joint venture with DAZN, one of the biggest players in sports broadcasting and the deal demonstrates the continuing growth and reach of the National League.

"The global exposure that DAZN will bring the league and our clubs cannot be overstated. DAZN will be using their vast expertise in sports broadcasting and streaming to allow fans in both the UK, and internationally, to access live matches across all connected devises like never before. We look forward to working very closely with them to enhances the viewing experience for all fans that can’t be at the stadium, which we believe is to the full benefit of our Clubs and supporters.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank TNT Sports for their full support and coverage they have provided.”

DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev offered some more insight into what we can expect.

He said: “DAZN’s technology makes us uniquely placed to create destinations for sports fans, and this multi-year partnership will allow us to create a global home for the National League, helping fans better access the teams they are so passionate about, while creating engagement opportunities to access new audiences.

“This is the latest in a series of channel deals which leverage DAZN’s scale and industry-leading tech stack to revolutionise the way rights holders increase exposure to domestic and international audiences and develop their sport digitally and commercially.”

Rather looks like this deal will start from tomorrow.Good.

fwiw. I asked DAZN Ireland if we counted as "OVERSEAS" and could we watch blocked games in the UK.
They came back and virtually said welcome aboard without actually saying YES.
I tried to ask National League but their contact webpage does not work.
So have sent a message to Roots Hall Head Office asking if they can confirm
The basis being that we can support our club with a match or season pass rather than having to use the 0600 Ryanair flight every Saturday to Faro.
Looking forward to a reply.

Looks like there might be a couple of issues with streaming the 3pm sat games whilst on 'hols'.

1. Dazn blocks many vpns - but some appear to work so hopefully not insurmountable but may require paying for VPN rather than using a free one.

2. Dazn uses your billing address to determine your country - so will using a UK address mean cannot access 3pm sat games even if using VPN?

Anyone any experience of this?

Has anyone found any info on how to find packages ? Will they be on the National League tv site or do we have to sign up with DAZN site ? The lack of clear instructions on how this works is ridiculous

I am not in the know just putting string around the holes as we exiles in Ireland are usually joined to the UK by "Broadcasting Rights" and there no 62 bus here to get us to the Hall. (Aargh I am a wrinkly.62 bus Young and Martens to East Street ,first day at Prittlewell Skool 1.5p).
The Irish site you book up for a season or pay €14.99 per month and get what ever they serving up and no mention anywhere of National League
This backed up by no response from The Hall as they probably don't know either.

This whole blackout thing for the lower leagues is in my humble opinion a load of outdated bollocks.

I'd pay every week and im sure many more exiles would. Its just lost revenue
I'd favour them lifting the blackout but getting rid of 3pm Saturday matches in the premier league. The blackout only exists because of the fear people will watch the prem instead of supporting their local side but that's not a problem if there aren't any prem matches on. It might sound radical but only about 30% of prem matches are played at Saturday 3pm anyway.

Today's news-

Found this quite useful (from Aldershot!)

Great! So there will be an annual subscription of 189.99. That works out about 12% more than last Season. Still a fair hike but, at least, within reason. Just matter of logging on and finding the subscription......easy peasy....no???

Doubt it yogi-think the monthly option will be the best bet.despite the price hike.(havn't found registering too easy for some reason-thinking of using the wife's email address,

ça ne commence pas bien! Phil, if you look at the 'Aldershot article' posted above by Herts Shrimper, there definitely is a yearly subscription at £189.99 in comparison to the £170 last year. As I've said on another thread related to NLTV, I'm having a problem logging in. I'm getting a message telling me that password and e-mail address is a wrong combination. Now being told by Blues Exile, that he had to change password to log in. He has now encountered another problem in that having paid a monthly subscription, our game is not appearing on the site for streaming.
