That’s the point, Ron probably doesn’t know either based on boywonders post.

If the above is all correct I would liken it to- you have your car for sale and you need the money .someone has offered you £10,000 and they have promised they will wait until March 1st. You have other people interested who will pay £12,000, you are trying to get them to buy before March 1st.
You also have a second car for sale for £3.000 and if you can sell that by March 1st then the urgency to sell the first car goes away and you can hold out for £12,000

All I know is, I wouldn't buy a used car from Ron. A Bentley for £3k? Sounds dead dodgy.

You forgot the bit about the bailiffs knocking at the door, not able to afford to turn your lights on let alone not paying the cleaner, and people outside screaming at you to sell the car… and you’re still wasting time ****ing about on auto trader trying to squeeze the last penny rather than putting food on the table for your family.

I think the analogy needs that extra context so that we don’t fall into the trap of thinking that this whole situation is a smart game being played.
