All this turning down offers of 'help' - I'm guessing there isn't a queue of charitable people offering up £5m to 'help'. What there might be, and we know of at least Carl's proposal, are business propositions - not help - and rightly or wrongly Ron is either not open to discussing or hasn't accepted one that involves the club, yet. He has already got partners for the development though - all the sell a slice of the pie etc etc, he might well have already done that - else how are the Dellal's involved in the development?? I don't think there is a slice of the club pie to sell - actually in our situation, I'm not even convinced there is a club 'pie' as we're so much in debt.

This is the other thing that confuses me, why doesn't Citizen Housing/Dellal's lend the £5m - they need the stadium to be started to start building the houses, and almost certainly have the resources the lend

Any one checked out the net worth of Southend director Frank van Wezel
Its 132 million he has been a director of this club for decades. I cant believe he would not step up and help out if Ron needed him too..
He must have a passion for the club to stick around for so long..
Let me tell you a tue talk of mr Van Wezel .many years ago when we player ay cardiff .i travled on his staff coaches as someone i worked with had his wife working for Mr van Wezels company .On boarding the coach we found club scaves on all the seats donated by him what a nice gesture i thought .Wrong on returning after the game A chap came along to collect the scaves back .Aparantly he had gone into the club shop requested the said scaves and he returned them back to the shop for resale .

The Dellals will have security with charges against the development land and certainly have £5m to lend. Maybe they would in extremis. But RM gets a lot more than that when we get out of B&L. Maybe the Dellals play hardball in terms of whats already agreed. and who knows they may have helped out already and we just don't know about it. But its a very good question.

Time waits for no man.
It feels like the bridging loan is the last option for him.
What happens after that money is gone?
It's like watching a slow death.
It’s a shame that he believes his own nonsense. This, from HMRC’s internal manuals. They don’t “collapse” a TTP arrangement for no reason 🤓

(They don’t use the word collapse either, but that’s just semantics).

Let’s hope any response refers to this, as this email is at best a distortion of reality.

If of course HMRC really have broken their own rules, I’d happily help the club against them, but somehow I doubt that any case would get anywhere.

It 'collapsed ' because he didn't pay it! It's no one elses fault!

I think Ron is very good with money. He's created such a convoluted trail he has baffled many an accountant/auditor.
Haha that's exactly what he pays the accountants to do. He wouldnt of done that himself. Now the problem is he's stopped being able to pay the accountants. He is lost and bewildered, totally controlless of the mess he is responsible for.

Perhaps Ron needs a bit of gentle persuasion to pay the debt off, I'm not buying that the embargo only gets lifted on the date of the court hearing either as Scunny got theirs lifted simply by paying the HMRC and confirming it with the VNL.

I'm not encouraging anyone to buy a box of eggs and lob one in Rons general direction every time they see him as that would be very childish and irresponsible.

But quite funny

Whilst all are absolutely important (and there's others unpaid), there's one that we should be worried if the 8th Feb and 1st Mar court cases don't impact our controlling party or the company itself - has HMRC been paid since the value of the debt in court was calculated? These things aren't 'pay once and it goes away'!
The players, the academy, the ticket office, HMRC, Darlington, St John’s Ambulance - has anyone been paid this year?
Yes……I’ll bet that Ron probably has his pound of flesh from the dying carcass before the queue even forms. 🤢🤢🤢🤮…….

I’m interested in your opinion on this.., if the club collpases and Ron’s son still develops rh surely that’s a massive kick in the teeth to all supporters? Like it’s just insult to injury stuff.

It shouldn’t be allowed but the council need the homes so....
It’s a big “if”….but yes, any development of RH should SUFC collapse, would be a massive insult and totally immoral and unjust.……. But I doubt if any of them would give a flying fugg about stuff like that. ??
I have to admit I did admire the language used to describe our beloved leader. Summed it up most succinctly.

They have been briefed and expect to be working tomorrow. Others on here have claimed the game is off.
Sad how much is being made up that makes a bad situation worse- the typical approach is to say there’s a rumour that….and then you can say anything. Absolutely anything.

Saw a tweet from someone related to the protest tomorrow referencing a “rumour” that some first team players are refusing to play. Just made up to create more anger and make things even worse than they already are.
