I just think it’s factual. If you have no money in the bank and money that you quite reasonably expected to come in doesn’t then you have nothing to pay the bills.

I don’t know what people expect the club to say?
Say nothing?
Lie?
Yes the covid problem did impact on all clubs no games mean no cash flow .And before you shoot me down The one thing ive found is get a problem with moneys its very hard to play catch up to get straight .Beleve me i know its taken me years to get y finaces straight .

They are more than likely just another company associated with Southend United that are not paid on time, must be a fair few awaiting payments of many kind from the past.

This from Company Check 2 Feb 23. Make of it what you will.
About MR RONALD MARTIN
Mr Ronald Martin holds 13 appointments at 13 active companies, has resigned from 12 companies and held 11 appointments at 11 dissolved companies. Their longest current appointment spans 47 years, 4 months and 22 days at R. MARTIN DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED.

The combined cash at bank value for all businesses where RONALD holds a current appointment equals £3k, a combined total current assets value of £32m with a total current liabilities of £61m and a total current net worth of £-17m.
All looking good on the Ron front then. :Look: 🙄

These four home games in five coming up must surely help with unpaid bills, wages and others eh, just hope it’s not to late and the weather is ok for us.
You think so wouldn't you but that's based on Ron using the money for things like that, something I wouldn't rely on. How staff can go two months without any wages at all is beyond me, same as how they're still sticking around after late payment for 8 months now. I respect their loyalty but I would never accept being walked over and disrespected every single month.

I'm actually shocked no one touched him the other week when he came out to meet them and tell them they know **** all 😂

I also don't believe Stan/KM/DC/Tom have it in them to let the club go bust without letting the supporters know... (or even giving a hint)
To be honest, would his Son & rest of his family’s would want to spend rest of their life, living in Essex area, when they could faces peoples who have an daggers 🗡️ in their eyes, being associated to Ron Martin as an murders of SUFC, that hold dear to thousands of peoples.

They wouldn't need to worry about that, sufc fans can't be arsed to do anything during the slow incoming death let alone once dead.

I don't think its a case RM won't pay his debts, its a case of he can't pay them. You can't get blood out of a stone. Reading between the lines it sounds like sources of cash he thought were guaranteed have suddenly put up the shutters & he's now desperately trying to find funding elsewhere, whilst carrying an awful reputation on his back. Ron being Ron will be telling everyone close not to worry, its all fine, I've got a deal lined up etc. But this time its obvious he hasn't. People like Ron who are used to flying by the seat of their pants financially are eternal optimists and will always believe success is just around the corner until the last nail goes in the coffin. Its the nature of the beast. And I've always in the past believed he would pull a rabbit out of the hat, and he has one way or another. But this time I'm serously starting to think this could be the end. What can be salvaged from it I have no idea, don't know if anyone would buy the club out of administration, or whether it just ceases to exist. Feels like its getting very real now. Worrying and sad times.

On the space thing on Twitter a guy said a big name athlete got contacted by the club about the club but laughed at Ron with the amount Ron was asking for
Yeah that was interesting. Suggested he/she? would have made Ryan Rynolds look small time. Wasn't a footballer, but an athlete?
It was @SpursGeneral (Gboy Mac) on twitter. He did come clean that SUFC was his second love behind Spurs

Assuming £24m of those Liabilities are related to Southend United as mentioned I believe then the remainder would be £37m - so potentially a cool......£5m difference.

This time next year, we will be milwonaires! :Winking:
It makes it all the more worrying in that he will go back to court confident in another adjournment when the judge and HMRC are no longer happy to play along

Tom Brady has just retired again and must be in need of something to do

Don't forget the majority of SUFC's current liabilities are owed to SEL and, assuming there's no bad debt provision against same in SEL's books (keep meaning to check, but in any case it's inter co, so at the Group consolidation level will/must net off), there's an equal and opposite £24m asset in SEL's balance sheet. Meaning the total net current liabilities at Group level is -£29m (or at least was as the underlying data is probably somewhat out of date given the failure to lodge up-to-date accounts).
