Mods maybe an idea to merge the supporters groups thread with this one now as we have having duel chats, maybe @Smiffy could get of his arse and do something, he’s not hero tier mod like that sexy @GBJ

It’s an idea, but for now I’d suggest it’s better to keep them as individual threads because I’d expect the HMRC discussion to stay busy with traffic in the coming weeks & we need to keep the discussions around the supporters group separate to ensure the posts don’t get lost in what’s sure to be another few hundred pages of HMRC talk.

Dear SZ and supporters it may concern.

I'd like to offer all my professional design and creative skills to the Pheonix club efforts, in the hope that becomes a huge waste of time. I've worked with some of the biggest brands in the world and currently have a number of football clubs in my portfolio.

Please drop me a message so I can pass on my official contact details.

Wonderful, cheers for the info. That's Southend united saved, fans got nothing to worry about.
I think you've misunderstood - my speculation was for PG Site Services owners to be potential future owners of SUFC, post stadium build etc - not bailing out Ron now - although I suspect they have the collateral to borrow sufficient, it would be risking most of what they have so pretty barmy thing to do.

So i have listened to the BBC chat wit rob and carl Now i keep reading the club has got to raise 5 millon by march the 1st .But now im hearing the amount to pat he HRMS is 1.5 millon so what is the true amount Ron has to find .

My understanding is that we owe HMRC just over 1m, maybe the balance from the £5m loan is to pay for wages, a roof in the West Stand bar, Martin Dawns own tax bill etc.

Yes, I think the loan will be for group companies. Martin Dawn have their own winding up order mid Feb so that is an interesting check point (no idea how much they owe).

I don't want to fuel speculation, but what if the MD group companies owe a fair chunk of money?

A winding up order suggests these companies are not in the best of health themselves.

If any of those group companies go under then I wonder what would happen to myriad of other reliant/interconnected companies?

Winding up petitions of Martin Dawn Companies will be heard on the 8th Feb 2023 In the High Court of Justice (Chancery Division) have been presented by Commissioners for HM Revenue and Customs.

My understanding is the HMRC money owed is around 1.5 million but the loan is for 5 million. I believe the 3.5 million difference is to somewhat pay wages and keep the club afloat until the next stage of the Fossetts build which involves Boots & Laces which then means further funds get released from the build. Why we need as much as a extra 3.5 million is a question I'd love to know the answer too, but of course Ron doesn't like transparency.

I genuinely believe he'll be getting all sorts of dodgy thrills and kicks off keeping us all in the dark. Any decent person would come clean and just tell us the truth, no matter how much we won't like it. It's got to be better than just guessing and getting all wound up hasn't it? Yes, he'll get flack when we truly know how bad things are BUT at least we'll know the facts and can focus on what's true rather than having silly little posters on here getting hard-on's trying to pretend they know whats going on and feeding us little bits here and there.

Presumably if we don’t hear today that the players and football department staff have been paid, we’ll be getting a 12 point deduction?
Where did you hear that?

I don't know what the rules are in the National League for non payment of wages but in the EFL I see some teams have had 2 points docked suspended and Macclesfield who did actually had 12 docked but this was all in EFL (different rules)
